Just read online from a couple different reports how well it's selling in Europe (100k for Britain and 250k in Germany for first week) and basically all over the world. I'm wondering if more big acts will follow this trend in the US of having their album exclusively at Walmart. I read they ordered 2.5 million copies of the CD non returnable so you know they're going to have massi

Hi Pecman,he did People Get Ready with Jeff Beck (as I'm sure you knew). If I recall, that song was actually on Jeff's album at the time. It, along with Downtown Train were on the Storytellers box set.

They could call themselves PB&J! If they're serious about replacing Plant, the singer from Great White would fit in nicely if they're looking for someone who sounds like Plant. Great White do a wicked version of Baby I'm Gonna Leave You.

I see Hunter/ Wagner mentioned several times. Apart from playing with Alice Cooper, did they play together for other projects?

I thought the album was going to be a Walmart exclusive in Canada but it's going to be for sale everywhere. However, I was looking at the new Walmart flyer yesterday and it shows a special edition CD that will only be available at Walmart. It won't have any additional songs but I think it comes with a special booklet.

What amazes me is how well alot of concerts draw in Toronto. Air Canada Center holds over 19000 for hockey. Bon Jovi did 5 shows there on his last tour which is a venue record and the current New Kids On The Block reunion tour did 3 shows there. Now AC/DC doing 2 at Rogers Center and of course Stones shows always do well. It seems alot of major tours that play a single show in other major Nort

With Ringo saying no more autographs, I can imagine he'll get hounded even more. Especially if paparazzi are around and they capture him getting mad. TMZ is probably looking forward to seeing him on the streets. As far as getting fan letters, I'm surprised he even reads them. I would have thought he'd have people read them and reply.

Hi Hasse78. Rogers Center (formerly Skydome) is a football/baseball stadium. In looking at the stage setup on the ticketmaster website, the stage is basically at midfield so regardless of where they place it, it's still on a football size field. In 88 they played BC Place in Vancouver which is also a football stadium and they basically had their arena stage on the field. I think they ju

Possibly my favorite Stones song! I like the studio version where Mick sings the lines You can say we're satisfied and let me whisper in your ear high versus live where he sings it low.

Just checked Ticketmaster website to see what tickets were available for the second Toronto show and it looks like that's sold out, too! One thing they could have done is push the stage back farther to utilize more of the stadium instead of the current "concert bowl" configuration where they're only using about 30,000 seats versus probably 55000 in a full stadium setting simi

Thanks for clarifying! Not to sound stupid but then do alot of people in Manchester talk similar to the Gallaghers? Where do people with "cockney" accents live? Sorry to get OT on this OT thread!!

I saw an interview with Noel Gallagher before where they had to put English subtitles underneath because his accent (cockney?) is so thick it was hard to understand what he was saying!!

Listened to the album last night. First impression is it's typical AC/DC sound, which is good. Anything Goes really surprised me. I think it's an awesome song, as mentioned earlier similar beat, groove to Money Talks as well as Put The Finger on You. Should get alot of radio airplay.

Just started watching this series a couple weeks ago. Saw the episode you are talking about. Great series. I saw Duchovny at the Stones concert in Vancouver, just as the XFiles was starting up in town. Can't believe the show eventually moved down to LA because he didn't like the rainy winters here.

I doubt there would be a huge demand to see the Stones next year since they've toured so much this decade. I'm sure AC/DC will be doing a stadium tour in Europe next Summer so that will be one of the biggest tours of 09.

Did AC/DC open for the Stones at "Twicks"? I thought it was a couple outdoor shows in Germany as well as the SARS show in Toronto.

Another Toronto show at Rogers Center (Skydome). I'm sure this one will sell out fast, too. I'm hoping another Vancouver show gets announced eventually. I personally have no problems with people on this thread that aren't AC/DC fans. We're all entitled to our own opinions! We can pretty much talk about any band and we'll have people disliking them.

Sorry, I meant broadcasted. I know the one where Keith and MT are sitting side by side with roses in their guitars and there's the other where MT is playing piano. I thought there was a third one, too.

Hi FrankM. I hear Start Me Up on occasions but Queen? The only time you'll hear We Are The Champions is at the end of the playoffs. As far as "pop culture", I didn't mention anything about that. I just said that when you tune into any NFL, NHL, etc. game, chances are you'll always hear an AC/DC song. Sometimes you'll hear Stones, like Satisfaction in the Cowboys g

Just announced December 21 Tampa and Jan 5 Cleveland. I'm sure plenty more to follow. Also, I see in the new Future Shop flyer in Canada they're advertising the upcoming album, which is surprising since it's supposed to be a Walmart exclusive. The last Eagles album was a Walmart exclusive in the States as well as Canada.

While watching football all day, I heard Rock'n'Roll Train being played in Montreal during the CFL game! First time I've heard it played at a sporting event. Heard Back In Black, Hells Bells, You Shook Me and Those About To Rock being played at a few different games as I channel surfed amongst the NFL games today. I don't think there's any other band that gets played m

Kinda similar situation for Vancouver. It was Brian's last Canadian show, shortly before Hawaii 66. Opening show of the 72 tour was Vancouver but they played Toronto towards the end of the tour and as of right now, Vancouver was the last North American show in 06.

I see now on Ticketmaster as well as Pollstar that there is no concert scheduled for Seattle the day after Vancouver. Not sure why it's been deleted. I was wondering originally why they would play three shows in three nights, Vancouver, Seattle then Tacoma. Looking at the updated concert schedule, it looks like they're doing shows pretty much every other night. I'm thinking n
