Good to see Dennis Dunaway mentioned from Alice Cooper. Haven't seen Steve Harris from Iron Maiden mentioned yet so I thought I'd throw his name in, as well as Billy Sheehan from David Lee Roth's original band. He was known as the Eddie Van Halen of bass players. Also Stu Hamm, who played with Joe Satriani is an awesome player. In concert, he plays the Linus and Lucy song fr

Difference is the ones that say CD-R Music are meant for recording on stand alone CD recorders for home stereo units, versus using regular CD-R's that can be used in computers. I have a Sony CD recorder with two trays that I use to burn music from other CD's, cassettes, etc. As far as longevity, it's probably to early to tell how long these CD-R's will last. I use Maxell C

Hey Originalstones. You're right about Satisfaction. I did buy the German Hot Rocks back in 86 so I do have it in stereo but I don't really like that version. Brian's acoustic and Ian's piano are on the right channel while Charlie, Bill and Keith play on the left channel. On the 2002 remasters, Brian's acoustic comes in stereo in both channels but you can't hear

I have a Sony 775 model carousel SACD player which I bought back in 2002. In reading reviews of the player online, I found it uses high end Burr Brown DAC's. Have all the Stones except Hot Rocks and Through The Past. Beggars has the most improved sound. Also have the other recent ABKCO hybrids of The Animals, Sam Cooke and Herman's Hermits. All sound better than their original CD r

I would guess their most recognizeable song is Reeling In The Years and they didn't even play it? I think the only song I know from the setlist is Do It Again.

ZZ is playing Vancouver this week with Brooks and Dunn. From the ads, it looks like a co-headlining tour. Not sure if ZZ is playing first. Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver is a great venue, holding about 2500 or so. Saw Keith there on the Main Offender tour.

I recall reading Bill saying that he held his bass up high like that so he could block the spotlights shining down on his face so he could see the girls in the audience! One of Brian's few guitar solos and perhaps one of the first slide guitar solos?

I bought all of them except Thru The Past and Hot Rocks since all the songs are on other CD's. Bought High Tides for the stereo Satisfaction.

Hey Logie, The Verve didn't just sample a few seconds of the song, they sampled almost the whole song! At the time of the lawsuit, I'd never heard the ALO orchestra version so I thought that doesn't sound anything like The Last Time. I then heard the version on the Hot Stuff page and then realized they just added lyrics to the music. One thing about Play With Fire is that

This question was asked before. I think the total attendance now is just over 30 million. If you were to count people just once, maybe 20 million? I've seen them 6 times but there are many here that have seen them alot more than that!

I read that he's going to be recording with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. Hagar says they're going to be bigger than Zeppelin. What an idiot.

The late Cozy Powell did this. I think in the Whitesnake vid Slow and Easy he does this or one of the videos off of the Slide It In album. It's been so long since I've seen the videos, I can't remember.

Judas Priest, Thursday July 24 in Vancouver. Tickets only $21 but GM Place charges a $10 convenience charge, along with ticketmaster fee, etc. Should be a good show. I actually can't believe Priest tickets aren't selling very well when Iron Maiden just played here recently and they sold out.

I'm sure Keith or Ron could fill in the bass parts. I was playing the Steel Wheels CD last night and I was looking at the liner notes and was surprised to see how many of the songs on the album that Ron played bass on.

Hey Skipstone, you live in/near Chicago? I'm a huge Hawks fan (live near Vancouver but don't like the Canucks). Hawks are on a huge roll right now. Can't believe how much they've turned things around since Rocky Wirtz took when his dad died. I still think the game should be held at Soldier Field. I guess the rink in Wrigley will go from home base towards second base?

Album was recorded at Bryan Adam's studio in Vancouver (not the same studio that they recorded Razors Edge). I still can't believe they're only selling it through Walmart. I'm sure there's lots of towns in America (and especially in Canada) where there's no Walmart.

Hey CBTACO19, thanks for the info about Jim Dickinson. I always wonder who that was sitting next to Keith in Gimme Shelter while they listened to Wild Horses. Also, who was the guy sitting next to Mick just before the song when Mick said, "y'all come back now" or something to that effect and the guy says that's what he was gonna say.

Hi electricmud. I recall a few years ago when Chevy was using Back In Black for one of their commercials. I believe it was Malcolm Young that said that Chevy was going to use a tune sounding similar to Back In Black so the band gave the consent to use the actual song so at least they got paid for it.

I mentioned here a while back that I was really surprised at how much guitar Blondie actually plays in concert. At their last N.A show in Vancouver, he played on the first few songs but he was sitting down behind Chuck so he was hidden from most of the crowd. I was on the floor to the left of the stage so I could see him clearly. Overall, he played guitar on probably half the songs.

From the news reports I heard, she was in a doctor induced coma but she said her favorite musician was Robbie Williams after she awoke. I didn't hear anything about her awakening because they had his music playing.
