I always thought Just Wanna See His Face would be great intro music before the first song---"Let the music relax your mind..." (with a 2024 Remix, ofc)

Interesting that they haven't done multiple nights in the Bay Area in a long time. Used to be arguably their biggest market--In 1997 they did 4 (!) nights in Oakland.

Saw them on B2B in Chicago (2nd night) and St. Louis. Interesting that they did not do it in St. Louis, Chuck's home town; for whatever reason they never seem to do CB numbers in STL.

Yeah, I miss the big stages. I think the spectacle days are over, but 2014-2016 and 2023 were disappointingly generic, so hopefully a notch above that.

If they are brave enough to get sponsored by AARP, then they can darn well play "Mother's Little Helper"

Was just thinking I don't believe Charlie would have signed off of the unpleasant 2022 stage design (he was always in involved in that side of things). Be interesting to see what they do next year in that regard.

Cities look to be similar to 2019--biggest markets (+ a festival). Then we'll probably get a couple of shows in smaller place, like they did with Jacksonville in 2019.

It's early, but people buy tix for Xmas gifts so they may want to hitch onto that--also the album is still new so it will be a good way to cross-sell the record.

QuoteRollingFreak To me its unquestionably A Bigger Bang. Hackney sounds like a band trying to be "hip", and more accurately "Mick Jagger trying to be hip". Doesn't feel like a Stones album to me at all, it feels like a desperate attempt to grab the "it" producer of the day and have some new music just to have it. Whereas, truly, I felt like they were going for

I like it. I don't think there's ever been a Stones release I didn't enjoy (even Dirty Work). I also think it's distinct in its sound, which is cool. But I don't think it's more special that ABB, B2B, VL, or SW. Which is fine, I like all those records. There's always a "prisoner of the moment" thing going on with a new release, as many have commented o

Angry: I've listened to it a bunch of times. With Ghost Town, I heard it twice and never really played it again.

Video: A+ Song: B+ OR A- Happy with this. Best single to launch an album since “Mixed Emotions” IMO

Keith's ballads are the man's soul. With few exceptions ("This Place Is Empty" didn't do much for me) they're sublime. That said, a ballad plus a rocker would be nice.

Just listened to the audio book. Well-written and has stuff in it I didn't already knew (always a challenge for new Stones books). Recommend.

With news of a summertime video/photo shoot for a new studio record, I'm nostalgic for the old tour cycle of a late summer album release with N. America tour start in August/September. Dare to dream?

Went to see Tina on her final tour opener, Kansas City in 2008. From row 3. She was all over the place, belting out every number with force, keeping pace w/ young dancers. A fascinating person & life. '08 seems like yesterday; amazing how quickly we slip into old age and bow out.

QuoteDan QuoteSend It To me QuoteROPENI My 2 cents, to me something is not right with the band, there is no way that a professional outfit like the Stones, had to cancel first the press conference of the tour cause they did not have all the logistics for the tour already set, and now the excuse is that they can't get the stadiums etc. I think that there is probably a health issue with a mem

QuoteBeast QuoteDalgtor I didn't realize throngs of fans greet them at their hotels like that. Happens without fail in every city. The funny thing is that not many of those behind the outide barricades seem to realize that you can also just walk into the hotel and end up with a much closer view of departing members, though probably no chance of an autograph if that's what you're

Was just thinking of old song titles that would also make a good title for a new record, or could have been used at the time they were released: Sway Continental Drift Break the Spell Hand of Fate Time Waits for No One Luxury Winter Torn and Frayed Let It Loose Soul Survivor

QuoteHis Majesty Satisfaction was written in spring 1965, recorded in May, released in June in USA. The World Ain't Changed was released in August 1965. The drummer has claimed they performed it live around LA (where Satisfaction was recorded) before Satisfaction and that a performance was broadcast on the radio. No hard proof of that but who knows... the fact that The Last Time was l
