If it were me, I'd ask Darryl, Steve, Bernard, Sasha, & Karl "How do you all feel about this?" and see what they had to say. No idea if that happened, but would be interesting conversation. Maybe Liz Jagger said "Dad, don't sing this anymore" ha

Just looked at Chicago 1997 and how they did 24 songs in the same time it now takes them to do 19. I wonder why they're so devoted to spending almost a half hour just to play Rambler and Miss You.

1) People just aren't interested in Mick as a solo act, for whatever reasons. If he could have filled stadiums on his own, he would have left in 1985 and never looked back. 2) Keith the fierce lifer, Charlie the modest circumspect one, and Ronnie the good-time-go-along guy made a good mix of personality to keep it going. (Probably a good thing Taylor quit, as a great as he was as a pla

It's possible on Brown Sugar that they asked the African Americans in the band how they felt about it. It's possible Mick just doesn't feel comfortable singing it at the moment. It's possible they just don't want to attract attention to it in a review and risk getting "cancelled."

QuoteTelly My gf is a dog groomer and works in one of the nicer parts of town. She does the Blues goalie's dog & Pat Maroon's pup's too. Anyway, she told me that Keith's manager came into her store yesterday and is apparently returning today to get stuff for her doggie, fwiw. Told me her name but it escapes me atm. Jane Rose?

Said before - great sounding record, great feel, but the songs are a bit weak. Too bad Mick didn't save his writing from Wandering Spirit and bring it into these sessions..

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 I can see them making a statement like they did about Elvis in Memphis in 1978 annd play one of his numbers. I'd love to hear Roll Over Beethoven it is the one song of his they played before but not recently that I am aware of. Quoteartedm Garth Brooks addressed his cancellation with video on facebook today Important point was why not just postpone to 2022. Garth said 2022 very hard to get dates at stadiums. How can it be hard to get dates in a football stadium that's only used for 10-11 games in the fall/winter every year?

Someone's already said "sharks will cry" right? Lol Honestly, I love track and the verses but the chorus "You got me rockin'" is cheesy, I wish they'd come up with something better. Thinking of things from people I actually like, since people I don't there's endless examples. I like Billy Joel, but his last record in 1993 had some cringe

Jagger is, on one hand, a hard-working professional and pragmatist/realist, and on the other, very flip, offhand, and dismissive. Keith is like a mafia member who believes he's taken a sacred oath of loyalty, and can be very domineering about his retrograde musical standards while at the same time working in a chaotic state waiting for inspiration to strike. They're both concern

Can't remember them ever playing a Chuck tune in St. Louis, which is surprising. I was expecting him to be a guest in 1997. They did have Johnny Johnson sit in during the 1989 show for a blues number. Maybe now that Chuck's gone they'll bust out "Little Queenie" or something.

I feel like there's probably a bunch of Mick songs ready to go and Keith just doesn't like most of them because they're too pop. Meanwhile, Keith hasn't really written much since 1997.

Bill, even if he was able to do it and wanted to do it (both doubtful), wouldn't sell enough tickets to move the dial. Moreover, Daryl Jones, whom they are very happy and comfortable with, is probably a better player at this point, and probably is getting paid less than Bill would want.
