Several times I have been in the same room as all the Rolling Stones at the same time. They performed several songs. very cool.

It is pretty obvious that they don't want anything to do with me, and yet still I keep coming back for more.

That is the attitude, josepi!

I participated in a reception at a suite in a hotel where Mick stayed for 3 nights. It was about two month later. Had a terrible allergy at the time due to weather. Went to the bathroom to wash my red swollen eyes and I assume that when grimly looking at my reflection at the mirror, I might have been as close to a non gig time MJ as I ever was smiling smiley

Ammm and I also know a tour guide who guided him. Havent seen him in a while but know he got FOS free tickets as Ive seen him across the barrier... guess that some time in the future I will ask him how was it. This way I will become a "one barrier from the RS" actually talking to someone who knows one...

I am convinced my mother dated Brian in 1966, but she still keeps denying...
Maybe it was Mick?

1. I have met Chuck a number of times as my cousin's boyfriend worked at Charlane.

2. Met Mac in an Atlanta bar when he got up and played with Tinsley Ellis. Bought him a drink.

3. I have given the Rolling Stones several thousand dollars over the past 40 years or so.

4. My oldest son's mother dated Gregg Allman, who was in the ABB with Chuck. Her good friend dated Leon WilKerson from Skynyrd.

5. Several of my first cousins met Charlie Watts - they thought he was a real class act.

6. I always tried to look like Ronnie Wood, but ended up looking a lot like Bill Wyman circa 1981.

Never thought about it until now. Eh, people (friends) that have worked with Rob Fraboni and Sheryl Crow... when Keith was doing some song with her a few years back. He smelled like piss is what I was told.

One of them told me about Keith at the 9/11 show how he was acting like a cheerleader.

A good friend of mine is a TV an radio host. He did interviews with a number of people who worked or played with the stones, for example Metallica.

I play bass in a local band.

Many years ago our drummer was in a band with trumpet player Roddy Lorimer.

Roddy (with horn section Kick Korns) played on Steel Wheels.

He tells a story of arriving at their first session and being greeted by Keith and Ronnie who welcomed the Jocks (Scots) warmly and offered some alcohol.

According to Roddy Mick quickly appeared and ushered the horn section away from K and R in order to get them to sign their contract for the session.

Slightly OT they also played on the Who's 89 US Tommy Tour.

On the flight home Roger Daltrey handed each member of the brass section an envelope containing a bonus payment over and above their fee.

I like the Roger Daltrey part....... NOT a cheap bastard!!!!

I am resurrecting this thread for new members and old members with new experiences.

I have three more that I can add...

- I met Dominique Tarlé at a gallery in Paris where he was showing his Exile photos

- A friend of mine, a teacher of French literature, is currently tutoring the children of the current owners of Nellcote. She goes there once a week but the lessons are in a cottage on the estate.

- I met Victor Bockris, who wrote a bio of Keith. A friend of mind was dating him and she brought him over to my house.

I met Keith in 2007 and Charlie (four times) in 2006 and 2007 and shook their hands and talked with them. With Charlie I even introduced my drummer to him and vice versa which was surreal!

I've also met Lisa, Mick Taylor, Chuck, Darryl, Don Was, Blondie and Bobby Keys (shook their hands and talked to them too). Ronnie I've only shook hands with but I've not chatted with him so it's not a "meeting" for me. Missed out a chance to shake hands with Mick in 2014 which I still kick myself for as I had an appointment with my barber. Later my barber said if he knew he would've waited for me, no problem as I was the last client that day (BIG regret).

I've also met Pete Townshend and chatted with him and handed him my demo (he never got back hehe) and I've met Liam and Noel from Oasis (I even kissed Noel on the cheek in 2002, thought he'd give me a smack but it was ok) a dozen times. Noel also dedicated a song (Masterplan) for me in Houston, Texas in 2006 and said "You're funny" on stage when I shouted out a joke (quite a clever one I might add too) in Stockholm in 2015. Then Liam even paid for me and my girlfriend's hotel room (two nights) in Cinncinnati 2006 and Zak Starkey gave me a hug in Houston before I flew home. I've also met and shook hands with James Burton, the KING of Telecaster.

As far as degrees of separation goes, I am two degrees away from the Reich Counsellor Adolf H. I have an old friend who is the nephew of Sven Hedin, one of AH's idols and who met AH on numerous occasions in the 1930's and also a couple of times after the beginning of WWII (all meetings took place in Berlin).

I met Mick at Christmas 1996 in London at Harrod's in he sport section on 5thfloor. He was with Darryl Jones and tried on some Reebok shirts in the middle of the floor. We shaked hands and even talked a while. Mostly about the Stones club gig Paris at the Olympia on the last tour. I was there with my wife and through some circumstances we ended up in the Stones Family section with Jerry Hall, her kids and Jack Nicholson. Mick remembered that and then he told me that all of his kids and all of the Stones are here in London right now because of having Christmas with their parents and families.
I asked why he is here with Daryll at Harrod's. Mick said Daryll is good to shop with because he has a good taste of fashion and second looks like a bodyguard with his 6ft something.
We laughed, and skaked hands and said goodbye. He was back to his shirts and I was on the moon. After 25 years being a deep fan this was my first time meeting
my hero.

Took guitar lessons as a kid from T-Bone Burnett (our neighbor in Ft. Worth), who has worked with Keith on a couple of things, I believe.

My closest friend was taken backstage to meet Keith in 1994 and he invited her to a party.

But the $10,000 question is: did she accept the invite??!!

She was actually brought backstage after a concert by Stones staff at Keith's request. He had seen her from the stage. She is blonde, pretty, and 26 at the time. She met him, they talked for awhile, and he invited her to a party. She declined!

Do you know why she declined the invitation?

Yes...she wasn't a big RS fan, he was twice her age and she didn't find him very appealing. She didn't say this, but she may have felt that there would have been an expectation that she would go back to his hotel afterward.

got to speak with Chris Jagger for a few minutes before one of his shows at the Bottom Line in the mid 90s; got an autograph, as well. Nice guy

He probably knows Mick.

Later that night Mick and Jerry showed up, and I was able to briefly speak with him, as well.
