I saw them early in the tour and thought they still had it, but by the end of the tour it is obvious they did not... and its all about the guitar section because Mick, Charlie, and the extras performances did not decline. It's Only Rock 'n Roll Its such a Mick Taylor album really, but the engine room of Keith/Bill/Charlie definitely has its moments. There is a nice variety of songs... some good ballads. The best ballad of them was left off... Through the Lonely Nights.

For me, VL is 110% the better tour over Bridges. I think VL was the last great Stones unit. Charlie was a horse. Ronnie was still be big contributer. Bridges was the first time I thought the Stones lost a step. The energy took a tiny step back. The moves seems a tad bit forced. VL they seemed younger, on top of their game, and more naturally themselves.
