QuoteMathijs The band I listened to most in order 'to get it'. I never got it. Mathijs And the superb irony is Dyan often borrowed songs the Dead played live, but he did them 1000 times better than the Dead did. "Friend Of The Devil" comes to mind.

Quotedaspyknows Over 3 weeks. Not playing without a few day break. Sounds like a great plan/schedule. Now imagine "special theme" nights : one EOMS heavy concert, another SG heavy, etc etc.

Semi-OT but when things really come to an end they could do a multiple-dates residency in a London venue. Instead of bringing the Stones circus in one's country they could settle in one place and let fans come to them.

Dave Navarro interview in R.S. : "What do you think about Chris Chaney joining AC/DC? I think that is just the most awesome thing I could ever think of. I’m really happy for him. It’s no wonder they chose him because he’s so @#$%&’ good, but it’s like comical in a sense that he’ll probably be up in his bedroom, in a hotel, on days off, playing Jaco Pastorius lines because he could do a

QuoteGerardHennessy Somewhere on another thread there are posts saying that Jagger can EASILY (!!!) go on until he's at least 85... I personnaly think Jagger will go on solo when the band is no more, through periodic collaborations with younger people. The Grohl/Jagger joint effort set the way for Mick's last musical chapter of his life. Wanna bet?

Maybe the Byrdman bought the 1st reel of the rehearsals that is the one that included warming-up, shooting the musical sh!t. The best thing musically speaking came later on. (just guessing).

QuoteGasLightStreet Interesting for a little bit but overall quite unlistenable, a mish mash of gibberish. Ever since I owned the Scorpio boot around 1993 I've been thinking the label's boss (the Byrdman) got ripped off by the owner of the tape : he sold him a 2,5hrs DAT of some of the most boring bits of the original 72 tape. Listen to the boot : every time the music starts to ge

QuoteStoneZP Thanks Keessie, for the WT link. Yes thanks for putting it here... and thanks to BK for upping the torrent at TTD, a site which unlike Dime allows the full show to be posted including Sympathy.

RE Jimbo Jim : "On the third day , when they recorded "Wild Horses," which began with a minor chord and Ian Stewart wouldn't play minor chords, y'know... I didn't find out why, for years, and Stew finally told me one day, at a hotel in New York, about his thing of not playing minor chords, and I thought "thank god" man . But for that, I would have

Thank you Franko! Apparently Keith's guitar was quite out of tune or his bendings were. Glad they erased this early attempt at a guitar "solo".

This is great! Can someone rip the audio and put it here. To me it sounds much more primitive than the version I that was released on the "Black Box" 3-cd bootleg around 1995.

QuoteIrix Neil Young Archives Vol. III (1976-1987): That is 6 Cds will cover the 80's... Neil's lost decade (allright he recovered in 1989 with "Freedom"). Hopefully the box will include some samples from the Down Under 1985 shows which were impressive.

Mick crosses the Concorde bridge (1st pic) then goes into the Grand Palais (2nd pic) then heads to the British Embassy (last pic). All 3 spots are within walking distance (a few hundred meters each) and I'm sure Mick went there by foot. Funny how the man can turn into a rock supershowman (on the last US tour) then effortlessly become a common man and sports fan.

QuoteDan Had a slight confontation when Daddy and his little crotch goblin held a sign in front of my face for the third time during JJF. 3 strikes and the sign is out. Sent it flying which didn't make him happy but what's he gonna do, put the brat down and call his mom? Kid is probably better off in foster care as his current upbringing is going to get him in trouble sooner than later

QuoteRicky Is it confirmed that the deluxe they were talking about in 40x5 was this recent edition of Voodoo Lounge or can a quality Deluxe still be published this year? We're "in the fog" but Mick always used these reissues to fill the "media activity" gap between tours. So I guess we'll get sth after the US tour is over and before the next tour (Europe?) start

QuoteDan Quotellsbsk 45 minutes for Samantha Fish AND set change? 75 minute Stones concert?? Yikes!!! That would be hilarious To cram their standard setlist in a 75-min slot The Stones would have to play at a pace not seen/heard since the 1978 tour.

Quotepowerage78 No more complaints, no more criticism, don't worry... Everything is perfect Just look at the number of posts per show now... Well it's been said before and before that : Mick doesn't give a hoot about the IORR crowd, that is people in their 60s who have seen the band since the 72 tour. Mick wants the 10yo 15yo 20yo people who will go to their very 1st St

QuoteSpud Weird isn't it that some unlucky folks suffer with bad ear damage and others largely don't after similar histories of exposure ? I think those who suffer ear damage immediately after a show are the "lucky" ones because they realize they need to protect their hearing. Those who don't feel the pain during/after a gig are imo more prone to permanent ear damage (
