If you look at the bare facts (650 units for an edition of 2600 copies) and think about how the photo-book business works in general you quickly realize this one is a giant rip-off : there is just no way a "limited" edition of 2600 copies of a title will be worth one day the asked retail price. In the "art-book" world 650$ is a common price... for a book that comes with an

C'mon C.W. was so out of it during the 1985 sessions that he once fell off his drum stool... K.R. told him sth like "hey you're playing MY part, pal". It's pretty a well-known thing that the recording sessions for "Dirty Work" were like an episode of E.R. : EVERYTHING was tried to keep the patient (i.e.the album) alive like bringing in side-men (Jimmy Page Ste

He cleaned up his act because his daughter asked him to : he started to look like "Dracula" and he was "scaring her" (quotes from a 1995 RS interview). Steve Jordan held most of the drumming chores for "Dirty Work". He hits the snare VERY hard so it's easy to tell whether C.W. played on certain trax or not...

There might be NEW things coming from the R.Frank side coming to us soon since CS Blues will be OFFICIALLY released newt Spring. Along with a new Frank-endorsed transfert (yum!) we'll get about 25 minutes of Super-8 material Frank shot during the 72 Tour. Random thoughts : - My copy has MJ snorting blow from the tip of a switchblade. Rings a bell? - Yes CS Blues is the greatest rock

Correction... please read "this trick used to work 15 years *ago*" One more thing : The 1992 ‘A Celebration Of The Blues’ live tracks that were on a CD-single were not shabby either (thanks to Gary Moore). These songs (or better the complete MJ appearence should have been on this CD.

The disappointing sales figures reflect the quality of the sampler i.e. it is rather poor. Putting out a CD made at 95% of well-known material spiced-up with 5% of new stuff (availbale for ages on boots in COMPARABLE quality) show the people who manufactured it are living in the past : this trick used to work 15 years but in 2007 it doesn't anymore. I think we fans want to hear NEW stuff

14979. Re: U2 Joke
Yes he's really an unpleasant character. He's been licking the arse of the prez/P.M. of France USA and Great Britain about Africa. And guess what? These 3 countries are in the world's top-5 arms sellers. Hey Bonehead, the solution was before your nose : these people are part of the problem. They'll NEVER be part of the solution for Africa and the whole Third World's pro

RE "Infidels" Bob himself decided to leave out of the final album edit the best tracks. Mark Knopfler who witnessed this tragedy first-hand, still refuses, to this day, to talk about it in interviews! What's pretty funny is Bob managed to do this trick TWICE : the 1983 outtakes that are on "Bootleg Series 1-3" are still NOT the real deal : you also have to pursue Scorp

Scorpio is/was pretty good at the game. "Time Trip" vol.IV is a classy release. If ONLY they done with the Stones what they've done with BRoooce or Dylan... Maybe one day, after Keith & Mick have opened their vaults for the official 4-CD retrospective box, the REAL stuff will pop up on a Scorpio's 10-CD set...

The poor sales reflect the lack of the appeal this item has : 95% of well-known material + "Too Many Cooks" & ONE Red Devils sessions track which have both existed on boot for ages... The "I'll spice up well-known stuff with one or two unreleased cuts and people will buy my CD en masse" strategy is over Mick! What about putting 7 or 8 live cuts from the 1993 Webste

OK I saw this program too and it's quite interesting : appearently Dodi WAS the target not Diana. He was - much like Dad - a shady character involved in arms & oil dealing. Muhamed Fayed was born poor in Egypt and became rich when he married a relative of Saudian uber arm-dealer Adnan Khashoggi (of Contras/Irangate fame) who introduced him to this special business. Killing the son m

Well a few years ago I sold my "Mixed Emotions" (L.A.89) to a guy who REALLY wanted it and I got roughly 200$ for it. Was it too much? Sure it was! The show is lame, VGP has re-released this night slightly more complete, the great pics on front and back cover were all taken from the official 1989 Tour brochure. PLus I suspect this gig will be available on DVD soon... Who offered this l

Don't forget there is a new trend here in France : going to live shows. Nearly every single act (be it good or bad) sells out gigs MONTHS ahead of performance day nowadays. That's how the music business works here now : people illegally download mp3s of official albums and then run to buy concert tickets with the money they've saved on not buying CDs, hence the "lemming effe

Hi everybody, just as one thought the endless saga of the release of L&G had come to an end, Scorpio/Bad Wizard has just come up with the "definitive" (till next time?) version of this movie. Acc to the promo sales blurb : "THIS IS THE ONE! Live at the Tarrant County Convention Center in Fort Worth June 24, 1972 and at the Hofheinz Pavillion in Houston on June 25, 19
