I wonder if he was watching the opening ceremony... And got wet...
But what a show! Incredible. I normally just don't follow or like those kind of events (usually boring as hell), but that was truely special. The French tore the standards to pieces.

I'll give France 5 stars out of 5 for their ambitions on the opening of the Olympics. Sunny weather and it would have been a success. Now it rained away. At least they tried.
Some gold nuggets though - like the mezzo soprano Axelle Saint-Cirel performing the Marseillaise on the roof of the Grand Palais (in the pouring rain!).

Well, it probably wasn't that nice at there due the rain, but I didn't see any problem when watching it from a telly. Everything looked fine and going perfectly. The French are crazy people in a positive way, doing unexpected things. Thinking out of the box. No wonder 1789 happened there...
I guess in future the upcoming Olympic sites will use the concept of using the city as a platform, not just the stadium for the opening ceremony, but then again, not every city is Paris and all that history and culture... Hard to follow that one!

Still I wonder why Sir Michael was invited to the British Embassy. Is he a sponsor of the Olympian team or something? Or have they scheduled a performance for him at the ending ceremonies?
Otherwise I don't get it. Celebrity glance?

Mick crosses the Concorde bridge (1st pic) then goes into the Grand Palais (2nd pic) then heads to the British Embassy (last pic).
All 3 spots are within walking distance (a few hundred meters each) and I'm sure Mick went there by foot.

Who is the odd man out? Well, the old man in the middle is old school like watching what's going on out there, while the others are busy with their mobiles...
