Just checked the clip. I have my own issues with the sound quality (dynamics, what's that? lets compress the heck out of it) but it is not sourced from the keys heavy mix I tossed up.

No this is clearly mixed with an audience recording. Agreed on the overcompression but some people like that type of sound. Or it doesn't bother them that much.

You can see this button in the ear of many musicians. So they can hear the instruments clearly, for example. This signal gets captured by tapers.
