QuoteLeonidP QuoteLeonidP QuoteLeonidP One of my favorites on the album. Keith's vocals are top-notch, and what a great groove! Just listened to this again today. Such a great track, for me anyway. Again, the groove of this is fantastic. I agree with this post! I endorse, I make mine the above posts. Too bad the track never translated live imo. There is a good version from the Vilvo

Quoterbp If he had answered the question about what he eats for breakfast I think it reminded him of the "glorious" 60s and the days of rotten yellow journalists where band members would be asked "what is your favorite color?" The breakfast question certainly triggered an aggressive reaction from Keith : hey he came to talk about the new album, mortality and being a musi

QuoteDoxa Keith himself knows this naturally. If he wants to make headlines, he must say something - hopely negative - about Mick. - Doxa From a logical point of view the one Keith should be jealous of is... Honest Ron. I mean Ronnie had a dream career in the sense he played with absolutely everyone. And that is the thing a pro musician can aspire to. He walks onstage, he plugs in a

Wenner is old, he does not understand the PC rules of the game nowadays. Instead of speaking his heart and becoming an instant pariah when asked why the book didn’t feature any women, he should have lied and replied : "oh vol.2 will be entirely made with women and Black artists."

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax Nice read, though. yeah the witty smart and profound Keith we all love is back. I would be hard pressed to find an interview with another musician that teaches me about music art life... and how to cope with the departure of a loved one. Keith KNOWS.

”Just because you’ve croaked don’t mean you’re over.” Ah what a lovely lovely chap. I would love him even if he had not been a gifted musician.

Quotegotdablouse Mick was clearly impressed with the amount of work Keith put into HD and said so much to RS To his credit Keith always rose to the occasion when the band was at a crucial pivotal point of their career. I have in mind the 1989 tour when he knew the band had to make a splash for their comeback tour : from the opening gig he had his guitar chops ready and he shone during the ym

Define The Rolling Stones in 2023? In the winter of their career. If their musical trajectory can be compared to a whole year I would say they are in December. Early or late December I don not know. I hope they are on December the 1st i.e. they have another studio album in them plus a world trek taking them to the year 2027 or more.

QuoteMonkeyMan2000 Yes, that one was fantastic! Fresh, funky and no objectivication of a woman's body in any way. The girl was ugly, though... skinny, bony, bad hair... yuck.

Quotebitusa2012 I agree re any reggae tune. It’s the only genre of music they’ve played/had on albums that I feel they don’t genuinely inhabit. When they do Soul, they ARE a soul band. When they do the Blues, they ARE a blues band. When they do Country, they ARE a country band etc. They seem to inhabit that genre. But to me, when they do Reggae, they’re nice, but they’re imposters. They don’

QuoteElmo Lewis "999" is the one I thought of. and I would add the version of Satisfaction from Olympia 67. It is really heavy fat grunge metal... you name it. Keith must have set the controls of his fuzz pedal to 11.

QuoteDandelionPowderman And there's always a compliment or two within those jabs Mick probably realized that working with smooth operators/yes men on his solo ventures was agreable but Keith brought an edge, a unique thing to Mick’s song ideas in the studio. Keith a PITA? Certainly. A unique talent? True too.

Basically 95% of Mick’s troubles over the last 50 years came from Keith : the 77 Toronto arrest, the problems with having a US working visa in 75 plus tons of little troubles we never heard about. If you add the numerous jabs Keith threw at Mick since his early 80s return to life, and the guitarist’s numerous tantrums on tour or in the studio you come to the conclusion Mick’s praises for Keit

Quotedjango Mick Jagger and Keith Richards on the Paradiso ‘stripped’ shows (1995): Mick: “All sitting on stools in a line – that wasn’t really the Rolling Stones. Also, I thought MTV Unplugged was really boring television… The results of the filmed Tokyo sessions were terrible. It was the dullest TV I’d ever seen – and boring without an audience. So we finally decided, Let’s do a club show. And

Quoterollmops In my opinion it is a great song. I trust the song, I let it take me over each time I listen to it; I don't resist emotonnal arrest by Angie Mops Imho WH is better and more noble. If songs were women Angie would wear a leather miniskirt and too much make-up, while WH would be dressed with restraint.
