Just be sure not to get fooled by ads for shows by lameass Brian Howe (Rodgers' replacement). He did a free Labor Day show at the Pittsburgh Ribfest 2 years ago that Pollstar listed as Bad Company. The ads in the local papers billed it as "former Bad Company vocalist Brian Howe." Guess which 2 words got the biggest font. Sure wasn't his name. Common sense shou

I was at the Tower Theater near Philadelphia the other night to see John Fogerty. Great show but it made me wonder what that place was like when the Stones played there in 2002. Was it crazy or what? That place is so small for them. How did the crowd behave waiting to get in? Everyone at the Fogerty show was huddled in front of the entrance like they were scared to go anywhere else. Cool ve

If by this point in time you mean everything since 1990, yes without a doubt. 1985-1989 is debatable based on how much you like hair metal. stonesrule Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Don't you think MTV really stinks at this point in > time?

I'm sure some of you either live or have traveled through the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Just curious what there is to see and do while I'm there next month for a week long business trip. Never been west of Vegas before so I don't really know what to expect. I'll be staying in Alameda so I imagine I could get to San Francisco or Oakland without much trouble.

The worst instance of this trend that I've seen was when a group billed as "Bill Haley's Comets" featuring John "Bam-Bam" Lane (Haley's 1965-68 drummer) came to town to promote the opening of a crappy new 50s-style diner. That took lame to a whole new level for me.

Why is "Sgt. Pepper" so overhyped? June 1 marked 40 years since the release of the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." In the time since the album's debut, "Sgt. Pepper" has become one of rock's most sacred objects, winning almost universal plaudits as a generation-defining and influential work of brilliance. But does it deser

According to the latest email from the Stones website, they have a MySpace page: www.myspace.com/therollingstones That must be new. I searched for one on there a few weeks ago and came back with nothing but fan sites. And here I thought that MySpace was just for 20-somethings and teenagers (and those who pretend to be) to trade scantily clad pictures of each other...
