Who went to the Tower Theater show in 2002?

I was at the Tower Theater near Philadelphia the other night to see John Fogerty. Great show but it made me wonder what that place was like when the Stones played there in 2002. Was it crazy or what? That place is so small for them. How did the crowd behave waiting to get in? Everyone at the Fogerty show was huddled in front of the entrance like they were scared to go anywhere else. Cool venue, can't say much for the town. Upper Darby is practically a ghetto.

I'm long gone from Philly, though I saw the Stones there in 72 and came back to see them there in Oct. 2005. But I did go to the Tower a lot in the early 70s--saw Springsteen there several times and he burned the place down...figuratively...

Stones ROCKED that show....just a tiny step down from the Orpheum in Boston that tour. Second best of the three Theatre shows I saw. Boston, Phili and LA (Wiltern Theatre).

I was there. I was 10 rows back thanks to the fanclub ticketing. I think it clocked under 2 hrs and I thought it was too loud for the size of the hall. I shot a handful of pics that this site posted with a review.

At first I was pissed off when the band hit the stage. Bobby Keyes was wearing the same shirt I was wearing...that bitch!

I would not say it was crazy inside or maybe I was too tired from driving that day and not looking forward to the drive back right after.

Overall, it was interesting to see a band of that stature play a small theater and Mick working the whole stage,

WOW! I should really go into journalism.

Great show. 3rd row on Ronnie's side. Best place in Philly to see a show.

I was there.

A great show, of course - can you say anything else about a Stones' theater gig? It cost me more than $1000. But I have seen better theater shows - maybe a slight lack of energy. For instance, Vredenburg 2003 was more entertaining, to my opinion.

This chick Angela was actually doing a classical 70s groupie thing before she went to pose for the fire brigade. She was standing at the stage door, had opened her pants and was offering herself to the members of the band who were leaving in black limos.

Similar pictures appeared in the Philly papers.

Sorry for bad picture quality. They were made with a dispoable camera and scanned with a poor scanner.

Shame on you, that you think about driving and stuff like that meanwhile Stones are onstage playing in that small venue.

No, thank you.
