Looks to me as if many of the concerts available for download now have already been released as King Biscuit CDs or are fairly common bootlegs.

As far as I recall, you could actually fast forward an 8-track but there was no rewind, so if you missed the start of the song you were looking for, you had to forward through the whole program again. Truly frustrating! Plus all the other wonderful features already mentioned. Good riddance.

Another difference between Atlantic City '89 and Terrifying as I recall is that Atlantic City '89 omits Continental Drift and the intro to 2000 Light Years from Home. Since those tracks were both taken from the official studio recordings, Swingin' Pig did not want to be liable for distributing pirated copies of those. 2000 Light Years from Home fades in where the live guitar kicks

I'm sure a few of you have been to Las Vegas over the years to see the Stones or whatever. Any suggestions as to what is worth seeing and what isn't? I'm not a gambler so I need something else to occupy my time while I'm there. I'm going there next month for a week-long conference courtesy of my employer. I've been to Vegas once before but didn't have mu

When was the last time Stairway was even played? 1988? Page/Plant never played it. Page never played it with the Black Crowes. They didn't play it at their RnR HOF induction. I'm thinking the last time any version of Zeppelin played Stairway was at the Atlantic Records 40th anniversary party in 1988. Page also played an instrumental version on his solo tour that year as well i

However I went to Blockbuster Online and they sent it right away. It's usually the other way around. Blues legend Pinetop Perkins, age 93, is on tour this year playing select dates with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Double Trouble, Hubert Sumlin, and Bryan Lee in support of the blues documentary 10 Days Out: Blues from the Backroads. Granted, Pinetop's part is relatively small, but to be on tour at that age is pretty amazing.

Not quite a movie, but fans of the Miami Vice TV series may remember "Miss You" being used in the very first scene of the pilot episode. The sound is playing from a boombox carried by two young thug types in NYC. Hilariously dated now, but it set the tone for that scene.
