"Might as well get juiced" is a good song but the other day I was listening to XM radio, the Blues channel and a song from a guy named R.L. Burnside came on, it's called "Come on in" It's a blues song with a "loop" and the vibe is really haunting. The rythm is smooth and it drives you in the song; very modern and original. Right away I thought about MAWGJ a

The november 5 1973 picture of Mick and Ron? Is it really 1973? I would rather think 1975. The way they both look and dress suggests 1975. Am I wrong?Anyway fantastic pictures!!!! Thank you Mops

"Cursed by Stones" is a strong statement because Ronnie in fact is able to do his solo stuff and play with the stones. For ronnie to be a Rolling Stones is a plus as long as he is free to express himself outside of the Stones, and he does it well. I prefer to believe that it is the Stones who are cursed by not taking more advantage of Ronnie's skills. mops

I work in a high school and I have noticed teenage girls wearing clothing with the pirate skull on it.Little pink ,red and blue skulls, without the cross bones. Is that the legacy of Johnny Depp? The threatening symbol looks now ridiculously stupid!! When the good shit goes mainstream, it's over. Are there examples of things that have improved by going mainstream??? In rock and rock, mainst

I believe Mick plays on the famous brand called Hohner. Mick is a good player. He seems to think that harmonica shouldn't be prominent. A little solo and a couple of riffs that is all. I like his stuff on Midnight rambler, Silver train, The Moon is up. Brian was a really good blues harmonica player but very conventional . Mick is more creative. Rock and roll, Mops

I like the "Back to Black" cd.I haven't heard anything else from A. Winehouse. The few videos on youtube don't show her as a great performer/entertainer. But she is young and may be she has more to offer. I don't think she should be blamed for the stuff written on her in the press. I wish her good luck. Mops

I like the song although it is hard to hear Keith's parts. It sounds pretty close to the take recorded by Clapton. The lead guitar parts that Eric plays are pushed in the front, while Keith's parts, mostly rythm, are buried in the mix. Keith's parts are good but will be at an advantage with a "lighter" mix a more intimate version without all the voices covering up what Kei

It sounds like it and it feels like it. To compare and contrast what they have done, it is to me a matter of taste. I don't care that much about "streets of Love" although I think it is a good so

What about being a fan"atic"? which would imply losing all sense of objectivity. Whatever the Stones do, it's good because they can't go wrong. Any of you out there feel that way. That is extreme and freaky!!But I have to admit sometimes I feel like that when the criticism pile on and annoys me. The bottom line is that they are THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND in the World.

I am a fan because the Stones are fascinating. I don't believe that my passion and deep interest are freaky; the stones have produced a lot of music and they have lived unusual lives. To listen to all of that music and to read about all of those anecdotes require lot of time. Then once one starts to get into it it is hard to stop and get out; it is too good. They are, as a band, one of a kin

MOTORHEAD . ORLEANS France 1979. The "Bomber" tour. They started the show blasting the deafening roar of a the bomber taking of. That was mild becibels compare to what was going to follow! Only 3 dudes on stage but the volume was unbearable. It knocked me out of my shoes! After 3 songs I had to get out of that place (salle du Baron) From the bar, behind doors and 150 yards away from Le

I believe the solo is played by Ronnie. It definitely sounds like Ron. The solo has a little asian flavor to it, and Ronnie at the time 1974,75,76 was doing shows in Japan. That is how I attribute the solo to the Woodman. Mops

JUMPING JACK FLASH(the original version) In 1975 I was aware of the stones without knowing too much about them but one day a friend of my father lent me one of "l'age d'or des stones" albums with the band on the cover, Mick center stage stepping on a huge "star" designed on the floor. That is my memory of the vinyl cover. Each time I hear that version of JJF, I am

Most of the 80's music sucks especially the mid 80's.What I don't like about the 80's music is the sound of the drums. That splashy shitty sound that @#$%& like Phil collins "invented" and for whatever reason became hip for a while. Mick's 2 first albums were made to be commercial successes and he embraced that 80's sound (Collins, madonna, Prince, P Gabri

Chef in a Washington Dc restaurant with a nice picture of Keith on one of the kitchen walls.(from a DC show on the NoSecurity Tour). Although my team doesn't care that much about the Stones, they dig the picture. Working in a kitchen is like playing in a rock and roll band, lots of tension and stress but when they open the cage you got to deliver fast and then it feels good;it's a team

Mick and keith made "sharing the mic" a cool thing. The beatles did it before but it was not the same than Mick and Keith. Aerosmith did their own version of it.It seems that sharing the mic represents the time when they were perceived as the glimmer twins, a tight unit. Then starting in the 80's they became more independent of each other,no more mic sharing no more interviews of t

I don't get tired of music but I sometimes enjoy complet silence. Sometimes there is something more exciting than listening to music. Sometimes not. But music has a pavlov's dog effect on me(minus the drooling); I respond to it even more if it's the Stones. Music rules! Mops

The music and shows of 1978 are pure rock and roll!! Keith played fast and mean and the sound of his guitars is perfect. Physically, he is still a little static compare to 1981. Mick sang like a punk rocker(Star Star,All down the line). The whole band was pretty good Rock and roll Mops

Silver Train rocks!! It's pure glam rock that video is good (it is also an underrated song). Mick jagger is hilarious in that one. I guess he was young enough to pull that type of gay shit and get away with it. But it is entertaining to watch. In the recent videos, the silliness is gone and the seriousness that replaces it bores the shit out of me. Rock and roll, Mops

I got depressed watching that video!! With" Fool to cry" in the background and those awesome @#$%& minor chords adding to the subject matter. Whoever was in charge of producing that video did a good job at making the viewer feel like shit! Which is normal in a way cos it is sad when a tour ends, although more may come. Mops

I believe when the stones are making big bucks by doing foto shoots and private concerts for the very very rich, they do it because they take money from coorporations that are more powerful and richer than them and they get a kick out of that. I remember reading in a book, how Keith Richards was excited by the idea of getting paid just to a have a picture taken with some big executives. For him it

Ry Cooder is just another theft , a skilled one like the great Keith Richards.Personally I disagree with you,he is rated as he should as a great and dedicated musician who created The Rolling Stones. Nils Lofgren said he wrote "Keith don't go" in 1975 after he heard a rumour that Keith wanted to quit the Stones. It is the only time I have heard that Keith wanted to quit his band. Nils is good but he isn't a rolling stone. Ronnie was the best and only choice for the Stones. I am glad Ronnie eventually agreed to join in. Thank Rockman, Mops
