Do you ever get tired of music?
Posted by: Bingo ()
Date: December 26, 2007 17:30

I love, love love music...BUT, once in awhile I get fed up with music. I get tired of hearing anything I heard before.

So, when that happens, I usually will listen to the radio that broadcasts in another language. I don't care if it's Chinese, French or Russian...language replaces music for a temporary time.

Do you ever feel this way? If yes, what do you use as a replacement?

I hear music on the road with the ipod, while I am at home etc,but there sometimes let's say once in 2 months that I am getting bored of everything.I think that's quite normal.

i sometimes need to take a break, but it's not because i'm tired of it or bored with it -
more like i'm so buzzed by it that i need to chill a while.

Yeah, I have such periods, for sure. Also, my girlfriend has the habit of listening to the same song on repeat for a whole week, which resulted in me absolutely despising Sleep Tonight, for example.

50% of what i listen to is the stones and usually i listen to music on a saturday night for a while through the headphones.

after about 6 months i tend to get fed up with the stones and give them a break for about 2 months.

when i get back to them its like a new experience.

im getting a bit fed up with the stones just now, so i might give them a break for a while.

I hear you guys on that unbrella song. I'm not a violent man,but I'm ready to kick in the radio when I hear that thing...As for Bingo's original question. I do, for short periods, never long term. It's usually early in the week, like Sun.Mon.Tues. Before my mood starts to pick up and I want to start rocking again. Usually in the interim I just listen to news on the radio or watch sports. That NEVER gets old.

During my busy work season, I divide my listening into segments. I will listen to talk radio exclusively. My choice is NPR. NPR is very intelligent and informative listening. I have actually caught segments on the Stones on NPR.

One good thing is that it is not biased like the big blowhard idiot egomanic Rush Limbaugh and the kooks that call him. NPR is very well balanced and entertaining.

Tired of music... No, and if I ever feel that way, it would freak me out. If I get tired of music, I'd be tired of life itself. And that's just not happening to someone who's had a couple of rounds in the ring with death. And then, survival isn'æt everything. The most important thing is what you choose to fill your life with. I've chosen to fill my life with good music, among other great things. (But I've always been tired of bad music - so I just refuse to listen to that! And that's really easy.)

THE SAME FOR ME!!! i just couldnt find good new music. or lets say i wasnt even
interested in finding something. even my favourites bored me for a while.
and then came AMY. she really blew me away. since then i'm totally into music again. old stuff, new stuff. she healed my ears!!!

AMY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's hope she can heal herself, too. Or that she one day bumps into a nice person who can help her clean up her act. It's a waste of talent the way she's going on. It's not rock'n'roll - it's just tragedy.

(PS: Do you need help getting rid of all those ridiculous caps? Please do not scream.)

I don't get tired of music but I sometimes enjoy complet silence. Sometimes there is something more exciting than listening to music. Sometimes not. But music has a pavlov's dog effect on me(minus the drooling); I respond to it even more if it's the Stones. Music rules!

I will never ever get tired of GOOD music. Everything else though...
Sometimes I have to turn my iPod off to do that "sleep" thing once in a while. So inconvienent.

By the way, if you ever do get "music bordeom" (which is caused by depression), a good dose of Let it Bleed will clear it up nice and quick. If you ever feel it's an extreme attack however, you will need to search YouTube for the video of Keith beheading the crazy ass that tries to storm Mick on stage immediately.

Huh? I don't think I understand the question!
Tired of songs? Yes.
Music? If I ever get tired of music, that will be the day Music dies.
