Other shows: Ottawa Bluesfest (capitaltickets.ca) July 16; Tremblant International Blues Festival (tremblantblues.com) July 17; Bluesfest International in Windsor July 18 and Bluesfest International in London July 19 (thebluesfest.com). Ronnie sings pretty well (Keith-style) on Little Queenie in Bingo's second video above, I think.

Quotehbwriter This record changed my life - (...) what I heard was surreal - the best performance (IMO) by any band before or since. That's how it was for me, too. This record was different from everything else.

Most people, I suppose, like his early work best. My biggest favourites are from his last albums. Here's my top MJ favourite, "Cry", written by R. Kelly. The best part is after 3 min 30 sec:

This song has always been my favourite on Got Live. But the video version above is even better, I think, it's both good fun and good music.

I love Main Offender. My first big favourite was Hate It When You Leave. Later I discovered how great Demon is, and then later how great Yap Yap is. I think Keith's solo albums are the best Stones records after the 70s. Keith records in a relaxed way show what he's got, while the band's records are more a "forced" effort.

I think The Stones should do what's natural for them. And that's what I think they do.

Keith's opening riff on Brown Sugar on Get Your Leeds Lungs Out, that's the essence of Keith to me. The attitude of that riff!

Good, I think. Usually when I hear unknown rock acts, I soon loose interest (spoilt by The Stones!), but not this time.

My favourite Carol version is San Diego 1969, Keith (I think) "swings" better than on Ya-Ya's.

Well said, Bob! When I try to think about rock that can compete with the best from The Stones, this is one I tend to come back to:

On TV, I once saw a Japanese say "The Rolling Stones make me happy." That's an important reason for me too. The mentality of this band and this music is happy.

I struggled a little with the photos, but getting the mp3 file into the video was no problem. I've put in a new video description: "This is perhaps the track I would bring to a desert island.
