Ane Brun. Here's a complete concert (my favourite is track 19, "My Lover Will Go" - fantastic): Amsterdam, April 2008

I love @#$%& too. But if I could bring only one song to a desert island, it had to be Gimme Shelter. The Philadelphia Special version (1972), I think.

Bro don't go! QuoteGazza QuotePapo I vote for Gazza, as he is a frequent poster here, his posts are always a good read and I don't have to buy a book to be given the gift of his knowledge and wisdom. ;-) Thanks, but dont be giving me any funny ideas..... You're a Galbraith, Gazza! All Galbraiths are good, in my view - Gazza, John Kenneth Galbraith, (his son) James Kenneth Galbraith, etc.

QuoteErik_Snow Well, yes, Cousin - we're talking about Gimme Shelter - but it was just my way of putting it nicely that I don't think the vocals of Lisa Fisher fits in I'm sure her voice is great for doing whatever she does - but whatever she does shouldn't be done in Gimme Shelter - or other Rolling Stones songs....well - here and there she fits in - she'd make a grea

I dig especially four GS versions: 1 London, Sept. 8 (or 9?), 1973 - the one on Brussels Affair 2 Philadelphia or Fort Worth, 1972 - the one on Philadelphia Special 3 The one you mention - Amsterdam, 1995 4 The Winos, Boston, 1993 Usually, 1 was my favorite. But I tend to loose concentration when I listen to it. 2 keeps my attention more, so perhaps that is my favorite now.

Ya-Ya's is of course the best live album. And I love e.g. Get Off Of My Cloud on Got Live.

QuoteDan QuoteRingo I've heard very little of AC/DC, and this hasn't made me interested. Perhaps AC/DC is so popular partly because they don't have much competition these days? Same goes for Metallica. "These days?" They have been consistently popular since Back In Black came out in 1980. Good point, I'm sure I have missed something about them (e.g., Keith like

As far as i remember, Olive Stone's theory is that people in the CIA killed Kennedy because he intended to get out of Vietnam. That's the theory that seems most plausible to me.
