The increase of lighting levels is a direct correlation of the increased reliance on video in live show production. Mo'cameras equal mo'lights.

That black dice "crew jacket" is a fake made several years after the tour. There were no crew jackets for that tour.

I've been listening to The Beatles' remasters after not really sitting down and listening to one of their albums for ages. I'm hearing old favorites in a new way and re-discovering some forgotten gems like "Thank You Girl", "Anytime At All", and "Old Brown Shoe".

Soul isn't completely dead. Check out Eli "Paperboy" Reed and The True Loves and Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings. I've got a new band together playing 60's soul here in Orlando and the initial response has been great.

How about "Hot Stuff" by Donna Summer? I expect they'll do a Bo Diddley cover on the next tour since he's passed on since they were out last. I'd love to hear them do "Can't Judge A Book By Lookin' At The Cover".

Quotecc I actually prefer the way keith hears the song and could do without the taylor addition... in '73 he goes into a grandiose chord riff at the end of the song (the "you got to roll me" refrain) that is very un-Stoneslike, more like something Springsteen's band would do. In fact there may be a particular Springsteen tune it reminds me of. so my favorite is '72--w

Well, you just kind of watch your liquid intake and "go" just before you go up to your position. If it's a very long show and there are no breaks, an empty quart Gatorade bottle works in a pinch.

I was there too. I remember them announcing that the reason it was taking so long for the Stones' to come on was that someone had damaged a technical piece of equipment by throwing a cherry bomb and it had to be fixed. I knew that was a load of crap.

Yeah, Wilson had the bigger hit with "Everybody...", crossing over to the pop charts. I've got to mention James Carr and Dyke and the Blazers; not as well known as some others, but every bit as good.
