Have you rediscovered any old favorites? For me it was listening to Otis Redding/ Jimi Hendrix At Monterey Pop Festival...I used to listen to the album all the time, then got it on CD

also, recently listened to 'I've Got My Own Album To Do' Ronnie's first
a real treat, hadn't heard it for quite a while.

also- 'Funky Serenity' by Ramsey Lewis, another forgotten favorite of mine!

Recently?
"
Captured Live at the Forum" by Three Dog Night (I was at that show)

"Slow Train Coming" by Bob Dylan. I had forgotten just how passionate he sounded on this album.

Believe it or not, it is Exile on Main Street.
It's been months (maybe a year?) since I've listened to it from start to finish,
but it has now found a welcome place again in my life.
Sounds fresh and nasty!

Next up...I'll dig out Some Girls, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Aftermath, etc., etc.

As the saying goes, familiarity breeds contempt (or burnout), so I always shelve things when they become too monotonous.

Can't wait for the shitload of Beatles remasters to land on my doorstep. It will be like Christmas!

I've been listening to The Beatles' remasters after not really sitting down and listening to one of their albums for ages. I'm hearing old favorites in a new way and re-discovering some forgotten gems like "Thank You Girl", "Anytime At All", and "Old Brown Shoe".

Around this time of year I listen to Starz' "Violation" - just a time and place album from waaaaaaay back.

Not an Exile, but lots of fun and memories. Anybody else ever heard of 'em?

Led Zeppelin III. Forgot how good this really was.

It's so very lonely, you're 2,000 Light Years from home

The Concerts for Bangladesh. The remastered version is incredible. One of Specters great achievement.

The Beatles for Sale (Mono)- I have not been able to play my vinyl for years and had it on Jap import. and Now with the new mono release I am so struck by this one and especially Help! WOW! I know Rubber Soul is considered their pot album, but Help was where things really started changing.

Take No Prisoners. I finally got it on CD. It is such an intense and speed jive album full of snot and piss. New York ally with rats the size of cats...

Muddy Waters Live at Newport. Whew you can feel the humidity. See that sweat rolling down his face, and all the liberal arts students soaking up the real thing.

Black Sabbath Sabotage. I recently got the Black Box, and haven't heard this disc since high school!! WHEW What a great blast from the stoner past.

Best of Kenny BUrrell. Great chill out hot weather music and is helping me cope with the Jakarta humidity. And the end of Ramadan.

After GET YER YA-YA'S OUT! probably the best live album performancewise ever released. Probably the most listened live album I've ever own - I remember wondering which side is the better one, and never figured that one out...
