Lighting at Rockshows
Date: December 15, 2009 01:41

I know what it is about older rock shows that always looks better: they kept it dark a lot more. When they want it red; all they turn on is red lights. Makes sense, no? Or they have the stage dark, and only 3 spots on Keith, Taylor and Mick. I love that.
Today with all the technology and science, they do great fireworks, and they have a lot of ventilators, but the stage doesn't look mysterious.
There is one thread here with video from Saville 69; looks so cool.

The increase of lighting levels is a direct correlation of the increased reliance on video in live show production. Mo'cameras equal mo'lights.
