Don't know if it's the best store for Stones bootlegs, but Blind Faith stocks the most comprehensive selection of any I've visited in Tokyo. I had to resist the child-in-a-sweetshop urge on my first visit, and remember that a lot of the boots I'm interested in were recorded decades ago, and will most likely sound awful. For any first time visitors, worth pointing out that the

As a matter of facts, all the scalpers will be stuck with the expensive tickets on show day, and they will beg you on their knees to buy their extra scalped tickets at face value and below.

QuoteStoneswolf QuoteIrix [ I had counted 10 different packages until now (iTunes-Download, DVD, Blu-ray, DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2CD, DVD+3LP, DVD+T-Shirt, DVD-Audio, Deluxe-Edition and Digital Video) from 2 nearly identical concerts ..... I'd be happy if they add the Bluray 3D version as well ....and there's probably an IMAX version they haven't told us about yet....

I'll still probably end up buying it though. Mainly because I was actually THERE, not for the contents per se. Christ, how many versions of those same tunes can one watch/listen to ? Yeah

Quotepaulywaul My own opinion is that Tier 2 was a CRAP location for this event, NOT worth the money in the slightest, and we DID hear general mutterings from those of us in Tier 1 that got out periodically and went walkabout that there were LOTS of mighty pissed off people in that area. I'm not in the least bit surprised. As an ardent member of the 'I'm not paying more than £100

QuoteHappy24 QuoteGreen Lady Anyway, I think most people just said Oops! WTF? and then promptly forgot about it and enjoyed the rest of the show. ...or maybe didn't even say WTF. I know that when you are there the excitement is on such a level (or at least for me usually), that the mistakes really don't matter at all. OK, hands up, this comes over as a real howler with the hindsight

Overall I agree, comparing 2012/2013 with 1981...but I'm afraid Keith has certainly diminished since his fall out of the tree, and I think despite his downplaying of the incident at the time, it was a big deal. The guy needed brain surgery FFS. I'm sure that it's affected his playing ever since, which must be incredibly frustrating for someone whose life revolves around making musi

Not exactly a live update; I'm posting this after a good night's much-needed sleep. I haven't read much of the preceding pages, so this is just my unvarnished memory of the day. I had a tier 3 GA ticket, so arrived very early to try and secure a good spot. This proved unnecessary, as the barriers were being constantly moved, with the consequent shifting around of folks. Once eve

Quotestonehearted In the recent Ginger Baker bio-doc, Beware of Mr Baker, Baker had this to say about technique: "Bonham had technique, but he couldn't swing a sack of shit! Or Moonie for that matter." Bit of a shame that...I thought Jack Bruce was the big-headed prick in Cream, but Ginger gives him a run for his money. No wonder EC had to get out of that ego battle. Hey Tonyz, welcome aboard. My first Stones gig was 1982 (and I consider myself a bit of a newcomer compared with some on this site). Hard to remember quite what it's like to see the Stones for the first time! Despite the high prices, which whingers like me complain about, you'll see just why they pull such a crowd wherever they go...the YouTube footage is great, but there's n

One small suggestion for Marquee's solution: rename Tier 3 to GA (retaining the tier 3 FOS). This then satisfies the Tier 1 – access to the area directly in front of the stage Tier 2 – access to an area closer to the stage than general admission Tier 3 – access to the main spectator area rules. I can't really see AEG changing anything at this point, I'm afraid, although it

QuoteRolling Hansie Quotestraycatuk At 8pm the occupants of T1 and T2 climb over the barrier on mass. How can you come up with something like that ? What sort of panic you think that might cause ? People might get seriously hurt during that action. Besides that, it is totally unnecessary. The T1 and T2 tickets are also GA tickets that give access to the rest of the park. No need to jump over

What happened to the O2 pricing of the pit being the same as Tier 1 (floor, 1st level) ? Check out the Ticketmaster link or go from the Stones ticket page: The four venues in North America that are there so far list the tongue pit at $1500 a shot
