QuoteManofwealthandtaste Hi Lee, So that was you, well done to you, ......yes, by that stage I thought I would lurk around the entrance in case anything turned up and it so nearly did. It almost makes me weep to write this but here's what happened.......Not long after you went in, just about showtime in other words, a guy came OUT of the venue and through the barrier, thrusting his ticket i

A quick review following my essay on the ticket drop thread of how I actually got into the gig. I didn't go on Sunday, as I had something else lined up, but deliberately avoided checking anything on youTube or here on the site. I had read the reviews, but still wanted to come to the experience fresh, as it were. Therefore I'm not in a position (yet) to compare Florence with Mary J or

OK, so after all the build-up, I finally made it in. I arrived at the O2 around 5pm with £200 cash set aside, and the intention that I would spend no more if I could possibly help it. Scoped out the official ticket office, and then headed over to Seatwave to find out what the deal was. They told me the leftovers would go on sale at 7:45...cutting it fine! I suspected that was my best option, alt

QuoteSilver Dagger I have just died and gone to heaven. Just got Block A2 row A middle off Ticketmaster for £408. Congratulations Silver Dagger. I assume this was one they were trying to shift for maximum rip-off on GetMeIn, and finally let go a couple of hours before the gig starts. Grrrreedy bastards.

Totally love Zeppelin...seen Jeff quite a few times over the years, and enjoyed his gigs until recently, but last time I saw him, on a double-bill with EC, I wasn't too impressed, I must admit. Maybe the O2 was a big too big for him to work with, although I doubt that. I particularly remember them playing Moon River, which made my heart sink...talk about a song designed to send you out to

Quotegotdablouse That's always the risk of course and after a great evening in (almost) the best possible spot (dead center second row in the pit - FB presale) I'm not sure if I want to stick with that perfect evening or give it another shot and play Seatwave like you did and risk ending up empty handed or go with another option...thing is with Seatwave is that you must buy online until

Hey Beepee, What technique did you use? I'm hoping to emulate your success on Thursday...did you just hang around the box office until the last moment and grab what was on offer? I'm keen to find out how the sclapers get rid of their hot tickets just before kick off.... Lee

Nice review Gazza...good to catch up with you again in the Pilot. What I've heard today has made it even more necessary for me to score a ticket for Thursday...and probably more difficult, too. Fingers crossed! Lee

Quotemymick 100 pound for a pit ticket (including fees) - Pauly I held my nerve. I just had the most amazing time, will never forget - the stones were fantastic. Mick Taylor was the icing on the cake!! And I made the big screen. Did you score these at the venue on the night? Seemed to be a fair number of people at the windows, did you pick yours up from the ones inside? Any help / info m

QuoteSonicDreamer A woman I chatted to with briefly got a Tongue Pit ticket at the Seatwave office at the O2 for £100.00 just before showtime!!! Is the Seatwave office one of the windows at the O2 itself? Thanks for any info, still looking for a last minute ticket for Thursday. Good to see a few familiar faces at the Pilot last night! Cheers, Lee

Quotemtaylor Despite being the most expensive for a UK rock gig they sold out within seven minutes. But many were snapped up by secondary ticket agencies like Getmein, Via GoGo, Seatwave and Double8 Tickets which then tried to re-sell them for up to eight times their face value. This rather begs the question of how you define the term 'sold out'. The fact that tickets are sti

Quotebv Yes. BBC have been doing a great job warming up for the Stones. I will be at Pilot Inn during the afternoon. For those who do not know, Pilot Inn is a nice pub just a few steps past the O2 Arena. Meeting point for Stones fans before the show today. Food, drinks, memories. Then the real stuff! Not going to the gig tonight, but see you in the Pilot anyway! Lee

QuoteGazza There's plenty of bars in the 02, but the problem with that is that its easier to meet fellow fans from the internet forums if there's a common meeting point at a location near the venue as opposed to actually in it. The other problem being thqat the O2 bars charge an arm and a leg. The Pilot is definetely the pub to head for, it's only 10 mins walk from the venue...if

Hey Gazza, those Stones/Bieber fans are a rare breed...quite possibly not of this earth. Looking for a ticket for Thursday myself, but may well pop into the Pilot for a jar or two on Sunday late afternoon, hope to catch some of you there. Is there a kick-off time for the pre-drink, or just see you when you get there? Lee

i would take the tube to Canning Town and change for the DLR. Not a long journey, but a cab would probably cost you three times as much, I would guess...

QuoteGazza Oh, and his tickets come from a 'pet and smoke free house'. That should sway it, then. Wow Gazza, you've just saved my life! Every time I enquired about tickets, the answer came back 'Yes, quite a bargain, but, er, we do have a dog', or 'Great seats, but please be advised that the tickets have been stored quite near an ashtray'. That was alway

Do you mean somewhere to go and drink after the gig? If so, I think you'll find it pretty hard locating a pub that stays open after midnight on a Sunday....
