Apparently only the two ex-Van Haleners (Anthony and Hagar) are going to show up. As per Billboard anyway. Then Velvet Revolver is going to cover some of their biggest songs. Lame.

I believe he plays a lot of private gigs for folks with lots of dough. It's been a long while since he's played in Toronto. I can't think of the song but he had a bit of a hit back in the nineties that got his name out there again. It was very much the same sound as his seventies output.

I caught the very end of what I think was a guitar festival in honour of the Stratocaster. Ron Wood, Brian May, David Gilmour, Joe Walsh, etc. we're all there. When was this filmed and is it available on DVD?

Remember when they did the 911 traffic reports? Man she sounded hot on the radio. I think I broke out in a sweat quite often. Saw her up close a few times and wasn't nearly as sexy as on the radio. You are dead on about Craig, he was awful filling in for Derringer. Did you notice the other dude left the morning show (Rosco) because he and Derringer could not get along? No one can stand him e

The dude Mitchell replaced (Jeff Brown) is in Ottawa working for another station. He's still up to his old tricks. When Stompin Tom Connors was not invited to play at the Canadian version of the new Live Aid a while back he played Stompin Tom for three hours straight and got himself suspended. He was ten times better than Mitchell. Craig and Derringer had a falling out over his airtime and r

Q107 used to be a great station here in Toronto but it sucks now. That Classic Rock format where they take the top ten hits from every rock artist from the sixties and seventies and play them over and over and over and over again drove me away from the station. Morning show with Derringer is okay but he is an arrogant prick. Why can't artists like the Stones, Seger, Mellancamp, Petty, etc. g

How long did he play? Does he still use local musicians? Man, the guy is 80 and still touring. How the hell does he do it?

Is there any word on when the Stones will be releasing the Beacon movie or the Rio show on DVD? And does anybody know if they have plans to release any of the shows from the previous tours (Voodoo, Steel Wheels, Still Life) on DVD? I don't have any use for bootlegs, only interested in official releases.

Didn't mean to insult anyone, just can't stand them. I guess it's that message in a bottle thing. And Sting is so pretentious and arrogant. But hey to each their own. Now Rush, that's a power trio and Neil Peart could run circles around Copeland.

How can a Stones fan like the Police? Overrated drivel, same words repeated over and over. Lyrically perhaps the worst band ever. Just looking at Sting makes me ill. They are one of a handful of bands that I have to immediately to change the radio station when they come on.

I'm surprised to hear about the Toronto show. I was at that one and both my friend and I came away feeling something wasn't right and a little dissapointed as it was our first time seeing them in an arena. Then reports came out that the show was nearly cancelled due to both Mick and Keith having the flu/cold. First time I paid $160 for a ticked as well (and seats weren't close). I

Yes, I just heard the news. He did some great interviews over the years and was one of my favorites. I believe he interviewed the Stones twice, once during Voodoo and can someone help me on the other? Will be missed, his manerisms we're his trademark along with a great ability to get people to open up.

More shows in 2008? Does this seem possible? But coming from BV I know there must be substance to a comment like that. Just please do arenas guys.

Mr. Soundcheck, that's the most ridiculous rambling I've ever read on this board. That setlist was amazing and it would have been a thrill to be there, no doubt in my mind. Again, the mistake the Stones made this tour was getting a bit greedy with more stadium shows, something the paying public have had enough of. They should be playing arenas, plain and simple. But you simply don'

I've said it on this board before and I will say it again. Seeing the Winos at Massey hall in 92? was one of my all time favorite shows ever. Perfect venue, I get goosebumps even thinking about it. It was the same night that Jagger appeared on Saturday Night Live and he did the famous skit with Mike Meyers.

1. Spicy Big Crunch Sandwich With Poutine (KFC) 2. Prime Rib Sub (Quiznos) 3. Tim Hortons Breakfast Sandwich (bacon or sausage, egg, cheese) 4. Schwarzs Smoked Meat Sandwich (in Montreal) 5. Whopper with Cheese (BK) I don't do the fast food very often but nothing better for a hangover than the Spicy Big Crunch Sandwich and Poutine. I've even eaten it laying in bed and not sure

Yes, you are probably right but I just think it would have gone over a lot better. I know a lot of people who have said they will not go to stadiums anymore, myself included. Arenas would have been somithing different from the first go around.

Hate to say it but greed has caused the problems with ticket sales. If they had come back and done arenas they would have sold them all out no problem and we wouldn't be having these conversations. And lets not factor out the weather here in the east this time of year. There is a good chance it's going to be pretty miserable at some of these shows in NY, Chicago, Vagina, etc.

I just checked their setlist in DC last night and they performed You Got The Silver for the first time. Wonder how it sounded. Guess they beat the Stones to the punch.
