Is that Cohl on the end there in the orange shirt? Man, if it is he's really getting fat with all that good food he can afford.

I guess the fact he uses the word "yet" makes it hopeful.

it's in today's Sun. Go to torontosun.ca and then go to entertainment. Article with Cohl that's half about the big theatrical bust lord of the rings and the other half about the stones.

Cohl was interviewed by the Toronto Sun yesterday and indicated that at this time there is no plans to add any dates anywere after the European leg is over.

I wasn't saying that everyone should always have "glowing" things to say about them. Some shows are definetely better than others which is to be expected. What gets me is the "he missed a note" or the "solo was not quite right", "Keith missed a lyric", etc. I remember the show in 99 at the ACC in Toronto and both my buddy and I mentioned after the show

Very good point StonesTod. If you are in a stadium that seats 80000 the sound will vary on where you're located. I think you really hit it on the head as far as the playing goes and the consistency in the performances. Yes, certain songs will stand out (for me, Sympathy in 89, Gimme Shelter in 97, etc.) but for all intents and purposes they don't really sound drastically different show

I may not be the most gifted musician out there (in fact, I'm not one at all) but I have been to a lot of shows (none of which I attended so I could brag to my friends) and I believe I can tell the difference between a crappy show and a good show. I have never attended a Stones show where "they didn't cut it". Or were unprofessional and unprepared. That was part of my point. W

To my favorite band who by all credible accounts made a triumphant return to the stage last night. The set list looked great. I for one enjoy the occasional mishap as this is no Milli Vanilli show. I always loved that about the Stones and it was lacking a little on the polished shows in 89-97. We all wanted more Stones and less back-up and that is what we've got. For a bunch of dudes approac

Just reading that article from Halifax, which stated that no city has ever profitted from a stones concert. I find that hard to believe and if so who would ever have them? They can't possibly be considering all the dough pumped into the economy when the Stones come to town. Any thoughts?

I'm confused so please, if someone could clarify in simple words for a simple guy what the hell is going on I would appreciate it. Here's what I think I know: - European tour to take place July/Aug. with that being it for them and no further plans - Stones are to tour Canada and the US in the fall (is this still on?) - I must have missed this part but some shows that we're pos

Same here, but I'm do for a fresh listen soon. In hindsight a few too many tracks and they did leave out that one they should have left in. Believe it or not I've been listening to disk two of live licks lately in the car. Really like CYHMK RMB and WAY. Nice and loud.

The exact same night that aired I was at Massey Hall in Toronto Watching Keith and the Winos. Don't have my ticket handy but February of 92 sounds right.

Gazza and Hound, bang on. Bought it Monday and it's been playing non-stop in my truck. Briliant and I've been excited because frakly it's been awhile since a Neil album has done this to me. The Lyrics are important but you guys are right, it's the music. Boring? How? Love the song Roger and Out but I can honestly say I skip none of them.

You are bang on too about the drums and bass being too prominent during the jams, just had that conversation with a buddy of mine over lunch. But hey, everyone has their tastes and opinions which is what makes life interesting. Perhaps it was a bit of an off night for the band, or maybe it was just me (but again, looking around the auditorium and listening to folks after the show I don't thi

It was at Massey Hall in Toronto. And no, I'm not a 40 Licks Crowes fan but I just stated how I felt about the show. And judging by the crowd I wasn't alone.I didn't hate the show, it just doesn't rank up there on my favorites list and I wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about seeing them again. It's great that the drummer is back, he was awesome last night.

Sorry to say folks, little dissapointed in the show last night. Setlist was okay, but they certainly could have thrown a few more hits in there, it's not like they have a huge amount of them. Crowd wasn't really into it and you could tell that whenever they went into one of those jams that goes on forever they lost people's interest. And for those who say Dylan is impossible to und

I'm seeing them tonight in Toronto at 100 year old Massey Hall (2800 capacity). Beautiful old building with great sound, saw Keith and the Winos there in 92. Can't wait.

Gotta love Keith, as a buddy of mine once said he has lived one of the 10 funnest lives ever lived. He just wants to have a good time no matter if it's on stage or at leisure. When I think of their ages I marvel because so many people I know that age simply have given up living and are just waiting around putting in time until they are dead. Forget those idiots that make fun of them because

I was at that Cooper show as well. Massey is awesome. I've seen Jethro Tull, Keith and the Winos, Tom Cochrane and even Stompin Tom at the venue. Tried really hard for Gilmour tickets but no chance. I wish the Stones would play there just once and the Licks tour would have been the ideal time.

Going in a couple of weeks to see them here in Toronto at massey hall (May 16) at a great venue Massey Hall (100 years old, great acoustics, 2800 capacity). Never seen them before although I've liked them from their first album onwards and "remedy" is one of my alltime favorite tunes. Anyone here seen them and can I expect a great show? I've away wondered why they didn't
