I missed this one.

The tour was great. The beginning of the band's search for hidden songs and to go deeper in the catalog. A lot of songs got live debuts:

Moonlight Mile
Some Girls
You Got The Silver
Moon Is Up
I Got The Blues (??)

Along with the debuts...it was this tour where "Midnight Rambler" made it as a staple in each show. With versions that have made the band find out that they can kick ass on this song. The B-stage was always a winning set. Route 66...Get off my Cloud and Rambler.

Good tour. My first one. Lotta great live boots from this tour...Vegas '99 and Shepards Bush'99 are the top 2 in my book. Get these.

The first part of the tour was amazing with both setlist and energy output but toward the end it seemed like they were going through the motions. Saw this tour 7 times. Oakland 1/25/99 is still one of my top 3 favorite Stones shows ever.

I've been to many Stones shows over the years but this one was excellent. I saw them in Toronto and had 10th row floors (Kieth side) and was thrilled with the setlist. I posted a review here that night when I got home. The only show I would put before that concert would be Buffalo in 78, that was amazing as well.

The euro debut in stuttgart was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. EVER.

Indeed. By the time they went overseas...YAWN. They immediately fell into autopilot.

Oakland is great. The best and my favorite version of "Undercover" is on there--just kicks ass.

regrettably they only played MIU once - and it is indeed superb.

Great tour.. And like mentioned they uncovered some great songs...

This actually makes me want to add something in regards to their choice of songs.. After being disgusted with You Got Me Rocking the past 5 years and pretty much skipping it every time I listened to a boot, something strange happened to me last weekend. I was watching the Rio 2006 show and actually enjoyed this song... And this makes me think that all they really need to do is mix up their song selection so songs like this don't get so overplayed... Look at the No Security tour, these uncovered gems gave new life to their shows. And they have so many great songs they never play that it makes to sense to keep playing the same songs and boring fans that go to multiple shows and tours..

People said above how the shows went on auto-pilot by the time they got to Europe, I doubt that would have happened if they mixed it up. The ABB tour started on auto-pilot with many of the same songs and I think this is why so many people bitched. Proof lies in the Beacon show, fresh songs equals great shows with the band focused.

Yes, most definitely it was a regret they only played it once. I remember hearing this song and being completely blown away at how they kicked this song's ass. There's a moment in the song when it's just guitars playing and the weave is unbelievably great. That was one of many moments I was impressed by the Stones...it showed that even in their late late 50's early 60's they could take a song they've never played live before and make it sound incredible. Watching the boot video for this is funny when at the end Keith is TRYING to end the song...but can't!

And this was the tour when they actually rested some warhorses - particularly the biggest one! I remember that press release clearly: we will not be playing (fill in the blanks) on this tour.

hmmmm. glad they pulled out Moon is Up - but I thought it was a mangled train wreck at Shepherd's Bush....

I love this tour as well - Keith was on fire, great setlists, rarities, plus Rambler, Out Of Control, and Saint Of Me every night. My one complaint was that '99 was the height of The Ronnie Wood Waving Era.

I went to five shows and only one (Washington DC #1) was even remotely not superb (and that was mainly due to the crowd - middle-aged Beltway folks there for the Hot Rocks).

Was that the tour with the horns on Sympathy? Cheesy, but I thought it worked - reminded me of "Come Together" by Primal Scream.

I'm surprised to hear about the Toronto show. I was at that one and both my friend and I came away feeling something wasn't right and a little dissapointed as it was our first time seeing them in an arena. Then reports came out that the show was nearly cancelled due to both Mick and Keith having the flu/cold. First time I paid $160 for a ticked as well (and seats weren't close). I guess the boys being ill explained the shabby performance.

Satisfaction almost made it the whole tour without being played...then about 3 dates into Europe..they pulled it out and played it every night for the remainder of the tour. I suppose cuz England didn't get them during B2B so they felt they had to play it for them.

JJF was a KICK ASS opener. It's never been that fierce. Keith..leather jacket and glasses. The opening video was unreal. The warhorses were pretty good I remember IORR and Tumblin' being the highlights. This was already the beginning of the end for "Brown Sugar"

true - but, thankfully, KR's descent hadn't really started yet. And, he was playing well enough for both of 'em back then....

The No Security tour was one of the best Stones tours ever in my oppinion. Great intro, great opener, lots of different songs, and Keith was absolutely brilliant on this tour!

Mick's worst singing ever! SFTD,OOC,SOM, Moonlight Mile, were sung HORRIBLE! Set list were good. Mick was speaking most of the words. Very UNINSPIRED singing. Terrible.

Moonlight Mile was not a highlight, but I think that Mick did an extraodinary good job on this tour!

Not sure about that. The only time this was accused of Mick and was true was the last couple songs during Oakland when his cold got worse he practically spoke Rambler and STFD. The rest of the tour never saw that happen again. They postponed the San Jose shows for Mick to recooperate.

The show in Detroit(Auburn Hills)was last time they played in a small venue in our area.

The set list included:

Respectable
When the Whip Comes Down-B-Stage
Memory Motel
Sweet Virginia
Some Girls
Paint it Black
You Got the Silver
Before They Make Me Run
Route 66-B-Stage
Midnight Rambler-B-Stage
Live with Me

And 9 others that are ususally played at a Stones concert.

All in all one of the best Stones shows I ever saw.

I refer to this tour as the "PAY OFF THE BRAZILIAN MODEL TOUR"...it was when it was confirmed Mick was going to be a Dad again.

I seen the Philadelphia second show...EXCELLENT!

Great Set Lists the whole tour.
