Hello, Wow!This'll be as biased as they come because I love the man! Tonight it was a privilege to be in the same postcode as genius-make no mistake about it. Stevie ambled onstage singing unaccompanied to either "Freddie Freeloader" or "So What" from 'A Kind Of Blue':he then switched over to his harmonica and dazzled with that before the band gradually j

Hello, Now this is what I call a biased review:given how high I hold Mac's back catalogue this was always going to be written through rose-coloured shades. As it goes,it really was a special show.Playing to a less-than-capacity crowd,in less-than- stellar surroundings made no difference to this band-they delivered, and then some. The four of them are such seasoned campaigners that they

Hello, God bless the Portuguese! They have the good sense to arrange an evening of bands, starting with Marillion, then The Stranglers followed by The B-52s and finishing up with Meat Loaf. All for 30 Euros! I decided to skip the first and last acts, but the bonus ball was that it was pretty easy to get fairly near to the front for the old scrotes and Athens' finest(!). The personnel

Hello, Praise be and long live The Ox! Great to see he´s done a Reggie Perrin. However, whilst I could accept a drumless `Boris´,I did feel that `Heaven And Hell´ was lacking a little. Mind you, those acoustic Alembic basses don´t half make one heck of a rumble. Apparently he got totally fed-up with Rog´s reluctance to join him in deafness and Pete´s fannying around touring-wise,

Hello, Thanks for the comments, guys. Doc, what may look like a parcel was just a side of a cardboard box with a song request written on it. The guests were the offspring of Springsteen! Hi Logie, the pit malarkey was bad for me on Saturday but that was because I was still hunting for a reasonably priced ticket, which I eventually got for 75 Euros.Time taken from arriving at the stadium

Hola! Disclaimer:this review follows the same-old,same old...wonderful...way too many ropey photos...best live act on the planet right now...blah-blah-blah. As you may imagine, the crowd were a little giddy:it´s a small wonder that all the photos weren´t blurred beyond belief.Blimey-a genuine excuse at last! Do you know what?I don´t care,heh-heh-heh!

Hi Ablett, Dunno, but I can only think back to JAE's answer to the question posed to him on more than one occasion, "John, who's your favourite bass-player?" (cue drag on cigarette for comedic timing) "Me!" It was part of his genius,I suppose. He always wanted to stretch himself musically and see where he could go. Cheers, Si.

Hello, Gotta say I'm mighty impressed by PJ's efforts there...in particular the vocals and bass were nailed down without question.Awww heck, they were all on it!Goose-bumps time! Only makes me wish for that bloody time-machine so that I can go back to see the four loons in their prime! Cheers, Si.

Hello SD, Yup,my first LF show, and they hit the spot! Although it wasn't a sell-out,there was plenty of love for the band in the room. The camera is a Canon Ixus 850,which is now a couple of years old but it can sometimes pleasantly surprise you:I never realised how tricky it can be to get a half-decent photo at shows until I tried. Hmmm...on reflection, that probably says more abou

Hello, Possibly the most insane game of tennis I've been lucky enough to see. Unbelievable power with accuracy and athleticism. Rafa was 51% to Rog's 49%...simply amazing by both guys! They might as well stop Men's pro tennis now...you will never see another one like that...at least until their next final encounter,heh-heh-heh! Cheers, Si.
