QuoteFan Since 1964 QuoteGazza What about the vocal on this song, though? 1971, I think, although some people have said they reckon it's new. And the harmonica? maybe a 1972 overdub? Good question, Gazza! I guess the harp is a 2009 recording. Sounds like his harp playing and sound since Steel Wheels. Also the horns seems to me a 2009 recording. But I'm not certain of course.

Quotejamesjagger Nice song...could have made the Alfie Soundtrack....but why Exile....? None of these songs (accept of course Soul Survivor) has anything to do with Exile, I think. The production is all different, the songs are quite different. So I see it like a new Rarities (Bonus) CD, which happens to be released together with an updated Exile On Main St.

I miss a solo from Taylor and without the strings it would sound better, this basically fantastic (piano driven) song.

That ugly solo on So Divine is actually unrecognizable Keith.

QuoteFreeBird QuoteMathijsI think it's Taylor on backup vocals. And on drums. And all guitars. And lead vocals! You forgot to mention the Sax!

This is the music we've been longin' for all of these years, even in current modern times! This is what the Rolling Stones are! Fantastic! Now an album with the same feel!

Well, this is the kind of song we've been waiting for all those years! It sounds fantastic! Old school classic Stones rhythm with great vocals and great lead guitar by Mick Taylor. Now up to the next studio album with this in mind!

I think Voodoo Lounge is one of the best cover designs from the 90's on. I find it more attractive than Bridges and A Bigger Bang or Live Licks. It is more taken care of, has more creativity.

This is from the official transcriptions by Hal Leonard. The intro is played in open G tuning, with Capo on 2nd. hammer |--/5---x-----3-----------|---0--0--0--------5--5--5-----| |---0---x-----3--3--3--0--|--/3--3--1--0-----0--0--0-----| |-------x--0--0--0--0--0--|--/4--4--2--0-----0--0--0-----| |-------x--0-----------0--|---------------0--0--0--0--

The Stones never ever played guitar like in this horrible song called Streets Of Love. It has nothing of a Stones sound, like that strumming chords on the guitar. That's much more Aerosmith or a young popband. It's ugly as hell. Even the vocals are ugly. It's the least of a Stones song ever made. They should be ashamed of this song. Some people think of Biggest Mistake the

Well, besides Keith's noodling (and on some parts he ruins a solo from Ronnie, like in Some Girls), it's an interesting record. I don't like the overall production sound.. too thin, no bass, no warmth, it's really flat. Loving Cup is done terrible. The song is musically great/strong because of the piano and the electric rhythm on the studio version. Well, live the piano ai

To me it still is a great album! I just love it! From beginning to end! Also love the remixes from Mixed Emotions and Terrifying (both 12"). Here in Holland Mixed Emotions still gets airplay on an 80's/90's radiostation.

I actually like Biggest Mistake a lot. One of my favorites! Great melody. It does not feel like a Jagger solo leftover or something. It sounds like the Stones.

Quotestevecardi Never thought Waiting On A Friend, the post '76 version of Sympathy, or Harlem Shuffle sounded good live; will take any live Midnight Ramber or SFM over the album versions any time! I thought Waiting On A Friend was fantastically done on No Security. Of course there is no Sonny Rollins, but Joshua Redman did his own fantastic job on this one! Fantastic live version.

Quote71Tele Love Is Strong should have been a bigger hit and a better live song. Rocks Off has never really reached its potential. Of course they gave up too soon on Loving Cup, Ventilator Blues and Torn and Frayed. 100 Years Ago, which there was just a thread on... Loving Cup was terrible live! It missed the "roll" during the piano intro and the (electric) rhythm guitar (listen to th

Live Licks and Shine A Light: Mixed feelings about them, because of the really weak and bad sound (where is the bass?) but with a fantastic setlist! O yeah, and of course the horrible piano intro from Loving Cup... really bad! Next tour they should bring a real piano on stage, one where the "roll" can be played on!

Anyone noticed Bridges To Babylon has the same sort of sound as Black And Blue? Both are very well mixed, both have powerfull sound, lots of bass and funk. Gunface could have been a Black And Blue song in a way.
