QuoteJustin But it's as close as we'll ever get: It's a theatre show, filmed by 16 cameras, filmed in incredible immaculate quality (audio and picture quality) filmed by a director who is a HUGE fan of the Stones a companion soundtrack in EXCELLENT quality with some rather good songs selections and pretty great and relevant guests (buddy guy in particular). Umm.

The sound is terrible.. it's chaotic, lacks dynamics, warmth and bass... The perfomance is great though!

Where is the bass (sound)? It's as thin as hell this sound/mix. I like the guitars but their ain't no dynamics! It's a superficially sound. This release sounds nothing more than their best sounding bootleg! For official release one might expect more! No real complaints on the songs (well, some warhorses they should skip) just really don't like the sound, which is impor

The sound is a mess... there is no "nuance".. where is the bass? It's as thin as a knife... The setlist is interesting, but i'm missing songs from A Bigger Bang. Shame.. Far Away Eyes is great though, musically.. nice Still listening to the rest.

I don't like the sound... it's a mess, chaotic. It doesn't sound very intimate for a small venue/theatre. Paradiso recordings (ít's a smaller theatre of course) sound better, instrument-wise. But then again, I don't like their live sound on Live Licks either. It's their live sound on album these days, and I don't like it. (that counts for other live recor

Too much performance? It's a small stage, and camera's are everywhere. They record everything one person impossible can see live.

I miss the effects on Jaggers guitar, like on the studio version. Though Ronnie and Keith seem to have some effects. There is no harp intro either. This live version is more rock. I like it in a way, but i miss the charm of the original sound. Like Barbabang said: a shame Keith took over Ronnie's (original) part. That means he IS really noodling, as some say!

Great version but I still miss the constant rhythm guitar from the original.. it's a bit silent during the verses without that part..

The overall (production) sound is really bad.. just like with Live Licks .. as thin as ice... It's missing something, i cannot hear it without any annoyance to the sound. Needs a lot more bass or something. The guitar sound is nice though (especially in She Was Hot).

Live I miss that high bend lick from Ronnie during the bridge part. It is in the studio version.

Live With Me behind "LINKS" Loving Cup does not sound to great to me.. it's missing that drive, the piano (live it's very low and it has not that feel).. The original (studio) is way better! She Was Hot is great!

QuoteRuby FridayOf'course I'm still listning to ABB, and my favoritt track is "Biggest Mistake", if it was up to me, they could filled an album with tracks like that! They should have included "Biggest Mistake" in the set list, it would have been a big hit. I agree! It was their biggest mistake not to play Biggest Mistake live (LOL)! The live version of Back O

QuotekeesRonnie Wood was good within the Stones between '75/89, where I personally prefer his playing in 75-76-78 - 81/82 He was almost non-existent during the '97/98/'99 tours. During the 2003 tour he was very inconsistent and 'mediocre' at his best. During the last tour he was also just average. No, I did not attend any of the shows but listened to enough good s

"The version on Very Best is remixed by producer Ashley Beadle" This tells it all. Again a dance/rocksong butchered by a remixer. I like the arrangement, the bass, but their are no guitars. It should've stayed a rocksong with more guitars! This version does not even come close to the Wandering Spirit sound!

Musically I really like all of them, but if I had to choose which album has the best sound, it would be Bridges To Babylon and Voodoo Lounge. Both have great powerfull sound, great production. A Bigger Bang, Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge, Bridges To Babylon... each are fantastic in their own way, to me! The one thing I miss is I like some saxophone in their music, like on Tattoo... great grea

Not any of the songs from the Stones sound dated. Each and every song is better than most of the crap released in pop music these days. I like the The Beatles too, much much better than current music. They sound so fresh, unique and simple (though the songs are not that simple). Of course we still have bands like Live, Arctic Monkeys, U2, etc etc... But I am not comparing the Stones or Be

I was a bit confused cause of the Dance version on Rarities, which is Pt.2 (not live). I don't understand why the Stones release such a grooving song without the groove??

Don't forget Dance (pt 2). And don't you find the bootlegs live versions of Dance from Licks better than the official released version on Biggest Mistake? The officially released live version sounds thin, very thin. The Wiltern version sounds full, great, grooving.. only it's a bootleg so the distance is not correct. The production of Live Licks is not as good as Love You

I like Steel Wheels a lot. Maybe it doesn't rock like Beggars or Let It Bleed, or Sticky Fingers etc, but I really like the feel of the album.. more jazzy in a way, not straight rock'n'roll.. it's a bit different but that's why I like it. I like every song on it. As for the Monitor Mixes: Great, raw recordings, no production yet, some unfinished songs. One thing I miss

Funny... Terrifying on Steel Wheels is a little bit slower. I always had to tune my guitar a bit to this song. With the version on Monitor Mixes I don't have to tune my guitar anymore!

The piano still sounds bad.. Chuck ain't a boogie woogie piano.. it's even annoying when he tries to play the blues piano (pling pling). He can play the chords, great pianoplayer, but Chuck ain't a blues/boogie woogie pianoplayer. That said, I think the Stones should use real pianos instead of electric or keyboards whenever they want to use a pianosound. I think of This Place Is
