Hello all,
With all of the talk around Exile, I am trying to learn some of my favorite songs. I need help with the intro to Casino Boogie.

I have the following tab:
Hello all,
I am trying to play the intro to Casino Boogie in standard tuning. Can someone hel;p me with this? I have this tyab from Chordie/com but it doesnt sound quite right.

Thoughts?

E|---5-5---3-3-------------5-5---|
B|---2-2---2-2-------------2-2---|
G|---------------7b9-9r7p6-------| play twice
D|-------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------|

However, on the second time they play this, they play the 5-2 5-2/3-2 3-2 and it sounds like someone plays chords along with the 7b9 etc...

Does anyone know how they do this?

Many thanks!

This is from the official transcriptions by Hal Leonard.

The intro is played in open G tuning, with Capo on 2nd.

I love playing this. There are some nasty licks in this song.

Well the open G tuning explains why it doesnt sound right when I play it.

Thank you very much!

I know I may have asked this before but is there anyway to interpret this into standard tuning? Like Johnny winter does with JJF

All the tools you need are here. You just need to extrapolate the G tuning phrases into standard by knowing what notes are played. If you know how the guitar is tuned and the intervals it's all there. Looking at the Open G transcription it can just about be done. Hint: Use a first position A chord in standard and try to use just your index finger to fret it. Now have at it!
