Me listening to well-known Exile outtakes...

a couple of thoughts...

1. it struck me how good is I Ain't Signifyin'. great title by the way,
but first 40 seconds... now it's a way to start a show or crank up a party!
and then it's a great mess of blues.

Taylor shines and it's a joy to listen to him play in not his usual style.
"wo-ho, oh-ow, yeah"... it's catchy as hell.
no way it could be a single now but I guess that after 40 years in the vaults
it will be inspirational for some blues bands that are around, if you know what I mean.

2. Highway Child, Travellin' Man, I'm Goin' Down and Potted Shrimp are sou out of it... I know that Highway Child is from 1968 but never mind, I'm just noting how different they sound. these are good songs, even very good ones, but there's something in them that I can't stand. they sound totally out of place... many other bands would make that all four big hits but in a way they were not suiting the Stones style.

3. I want electric Sweet Black Angel recorded in a studio NOW. yeah I mean, now. and so I want Uptight/Satisfaction medley.
