QuoteElmo Lewis J. Geils was off the scene for a LONG time. But while they were famous and actively putting out music, they toured as normal. There's is a hiatus, not unlike many other bands/reunions have done. It would be like if the break The Stones took in the 80s extended 15-20 years.

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Remember? Remember where you were listening to this, back in the day? I am not even a huge lover of this song, but it sure covers me in a warm sunny day feeling of being a kid and how cool it all was.... it was far out man. Always loved the first half of this song. Never liked the second. Funny story though. I remember driving around listening to this song for th

QuoteFrom4tilLate Page flew Steve Gorman to the London show 6 years ago, and has kept in touch with him. He mentioned to Steve how he was pissed off that Jason was having "Jason Bonham - Led Zeppelin" drumsticks printed up. If anyone besides Jason got the gig, it would be Steve, provided the Crowes don't conflict. That could be true, but I'm telling you Dave Grohl is close wit

Quoteshawnriffhard1 I'd like to throw my opinion's hat into the ring on this one. I like Alice's recent material (Eyes and Diamonds), can find very good moments in the middle years (Goes to Hell, From the Inside), but LOVE the early albums with the original band. I've got Love it it Death blaring right now and a thought just occurred to me: I really enjoy the MC5 (saw the

Someone said The Answer. I said them open AC/DC in 08 or so and they were very good. They had a solid first album. I have their other two since then and I don't think they've been as great. They seemed to have promise opening for AC/DC. I kind of haven't heard of them since, but they have that cool Zeppelin sound that is harder to find these days. Foxy Shazam are outstanding, es

Quote24FPS He's definitely not Hall of Fame material. Of course some of the ones already in there aren't. Jethro Tull, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Moody Blues for god's sake, these are groups that need to be in the Hall of Fame that have been ignored. Alice was a minor player that didn't really influence anyone. We already had men dressing like women. We already had hard rock.

QuoteDaveG I read somewhere that he is a man of religious faith. Chris, do you know if that is indeed true? I believe he found religion around the late 70s, early 80s. I want to say when he stopped drinking. I feel I've heard that since the late 80s, he's been pretty religious. He doesn't preach it or anything, and obviously the character is quite different from that, but I do thin

God, the original Alice band up until Muscle Of Love was just phenomenal. He had some good albums after that. I like Nightmare, From The Inside, Go To Hell, very few others. But the original band was just untouchable IMO. I wish he would reunite with them like he did a few times the other year.

Quotemtaylor Quotefrankotero Quotemtaylor Then Stones better get on the road before Led Zep start touring. I'm a bigger Stones fan, but I suspect a Zep tour would probably destroy anything in it's path. Exactly - if a bigger tour, a first and only tour in 30-35 years, would quite sure destroy whatever anybody else might think of doing. If a bigger World tour with correct planning a

The thing about Plant playing Zeppelin songs at his solo shows is they are arranged differently. With Zep, they are harder for him to sing. It was very clear, and bothered one of my friends, that everything was in a different key at the O2 show to accomodate Roger. I didn't notice it that much, but my friend couldn't listen to it because it just sounded too weird to him. There's

Just listened to Nilsson Schmilsson the other night and realized he never toured. They say he's one of the few, but he's pretty much the only one I know of. In a way, you could say John Lennon never toured post Beatles. He played one or two shows but thats about i

Dave Grohl would love to do it, and they are very good friends and love him so he's the only other one I would picture doing it. But doesn't matter because they loved Jason doing it. They would say around and after the show that he was the glue that held it all together. I don't think the 3 of them would want to do it without Jason, and Jason would absolutely 100% do it again. Jaso

I hate to be the one not hoping for a Zep reunion, because obviously I do and it would be the top concert I wish to see in my lifetime. But Robert is so stable and happy now, and you can see in their reunion concert that Robert bein

QuoteMunichhilton He'd be wise to stay the course. Celebration Day was beyond good...great even. They can't top it and likely wouldn't come close to equaling it night after night. Leave it as their legacy in tact. Absolutely correct. 6 years ago, I was PISSED they didn't get back together and do some US shows. I HATED Robert Plant and I couldn't possibly understand why

I'm in a similar boat as you. I really like ELO, but I know one album. Eldorado. An incredible album and for some reason its just the only one by them I know all of. After that, I know the hits and basically 2 to 3 songs off each album. What I have is the Afterglow box set, which is 3 discs and very well done. However, thats a bit excessive if you just want to start getting into them. Not th

I'm seeing it tomorrow and looking forward to it. One of the last Oscar movies I need to see, and only seeing it this late because I knew it would be in the movies for awhile. Looks good and the criticism is probably unnecessary. Don't expect it to be my favorite movie in the Oscar race, but assume it will be very very good.
