QuoteCome On I seriously thinks that there are no better 'Tree in a row' than Low-Heroes-Lodger existing...I'm standing on Paul McCartneys coffee-table in my cowboy-boots telling that... See, and I would say Hunky Dory-Ziggy Stardust-Aladdin Sane is as good of a row as you get with anyone ever. Maybe not the best, but easily in the top 3 probably, and definitely the best of his c

Just figure this article could use a bump. Was great to reread, even though it took forever to find.

If you're a Seger fan, you'll enjoy his shows. I'm younger, so I never saw him live. But of everyone else, he was my all time favorite artist growing up. My parents liked him so thats how I was exposed, and you don't see many 3 year olds walking around yelling the lyrics to Sunspot Baby! I had settled with the fact that I would never see him live just because he disappeared.

QuoteLittleRockFitToTop Quotemgguy My guess is tha a "show" would be entirely all new material? Can't see him revisiting the old stuff for a one-off performance, but....he is Bowie. He performed Low and his then-new album Heathen in their entireties at a concert in 2002 at the Roseland Ballroom. That's the kind of show I could picture him doing. Given the cover of the album

Honestly, my absolute favorite live version is the Shine A Light soundtrack. Sue me, but Brown Sugar is one of my top 5 Stones songs, I've heard nearly every live version, and although I prefer Mick Taylor to be there, Shine A Light is easily the one I come back to most often.

QuoteDoomandGloom We've all seen the UTUBES and many of us went in person... Which was the best show? I was in Brooklyn and did not feel shortchanged without Taylor but show #4 seems the tightest with the best setlist.. Agreed. Not a knock to Brooklyn, but that would definitely be the last if I were to rank them. I think 4 had a great combination of not quite knowing exactly what was coming

Looking at the Stones discography, I'm noticing that between 1985 and 2005, they only put out 5 albums. Essentially one album every 5 years. Seeing as its been 7 years since A Bigger Bang, it seems pretty unlikely we'll be getting anything sometime soon. Yes, an album might not seem like a hard thing to do, but really if they had been working on one in the last 5 years. In 5 years, they

Quotejustamomentita Glad you liked the concert. Mick Taylor is a Rolling Stone. Yes, he did quit, but he had problems. He also contributed greatly to much of their greatest recordings and performances. The Stones would say that themselves, and this is why he is playing with them for these shows....he belongs. Not that I disagree with you, but should he be up there for only contributing to 10 mi

Quotebart-man I wonder on what song Springsteen is gonna play. Maybe Street Fighting man? I remember Springsteen played that in Winterland 1984 I heard earlier on another site that Bruce was apparently soundchecked for Tumbling Dice.

Once again, he wasn't really invited up there. He just sort of got up with them. And the pat on his stomach seems like Jagger (rightfully) is letting Taylor have his moment in the sun. If they go on tour, he won't be with them so Jagger can at least give him these shows. But as a Taylorite, this is very nice to see.

OK, well now who knows what Bruce is doing. 15 minutes of My City Of Ruins is completely out of the blue based on that setlist and how long he has to be on stage.

QuoteGazza QuoteBeast By contrast, the Who are doing seven songs and Macca eight. Hmmmm... Paul's songs are shorter. I doubt the Stones wanted to play any longer than theyre doing. They have a gig tomorrow. Bit hard also to change the schedules at short notice to accommodate another half hour set. The Stones were not a late addition. They've been on the bill since the show was a

QuoteThe Sicilian Well if you can't afford a Stones ticket maybe this show is for you. $150 a ticket is kinda more than I'd like to spend on the Rascals too.

I hate being the center of attention and I get very nervous with public speaking and being on a stage. However, if I could get over that, I would be Mick Jagger. I can do the moves, I have his never fattening body type, I know the words. I can't picture myself on an instrument as much as being the frontman, except for my fears.

QuoteManofwealthandtaste This must be the first time The Stones and The Who have appeared on the same bill since Rock and Roll Circus.....I am sure someone will correct me if this is not the case! Hopefully whats left of the Who doesn't blow what's left of the Stones off the stage this time!

I agree. But again, I assume they've been asked and the only logical explanation is that one or both of them are saying no.

I agree it is odd now that you bring it up. I can only think its similar to the whole "knighting" thing. Mick probably wouldn't mind, but Keith doesn't like to be honored. And they probably weren't asked until after the knighting thing (as most of the guys you listed have been inducted within the last 5 years), and that caused so much friction either Keith said no and the

Really, any of them. Mick Jagger because he's a friggen medical marvel and would just be great to be around. He seems like he's nice and also very outgoing. Keith is just all natural, and you'll get amazing stories. Also he's a hoot and he'd probably answer anything. Mick Taylor because he's an amazing guitarist (although he might be boring). Ronnie would be alot of

It won't happen, but I know a song Bruce and the Stones could meet up and perform: Not a great version IMO, and not really his type of song, but I give him props for doing something special for London.

QuoteLadykiller without Clarence Clemons is the E-Street-Band never the same again. That is true, and was what many people thought at the beginning of this tour. And I honestly wasn't gonna see a show, except that the show I tried getting tickets for I got lucky and got right next to the stage. So I thought "fine, I can't not take this ticket." It may be hard to believe, but B
