I watched these 2 bands perform live about 2 weeks apart. The Lumineers were quite a disappointment for me...dull and boring as a live act. Alabama kicked it out of the park as far as I am concerned.
I plan to see the Lumineers in Austin late April. I was gonna miss the Shakes in march...neat grooves but the songs seem unfinished. Do you think they can kick it out of a rodeo? I could always change my mind and combo it with the BBQ...
A boy band with a banjo! Me and the Dixie Chicks have been trying to bring back the banjo for years...it's been tough.
Not really, it is at first not that obvious that the player is all the way at the top of the screen. It took me a while to to figure out where it is.

Keep working on it. Freakin' ukuleles are everywhere now. The banjo can't be far behind.

Very good song. Good band. Nice and refreshing to hear a new band playing with soou,heart,energy and most importanly. Electric guitars. Sick of all this Americana,folk stuff. Mumfords and other crap like that is awful.

They are a great band. I think what people respond to is pure exuberance and joy they put into their music. Kind of like a certain other band when they were that young and in love with American blues.

Thanks for making me not seem so stupid. Agreed, I heard the song the other night in Silver Linings Playbook and thought it was phenomenal. Couldn't believe it was Alabama Shakes, who I have for a longtime said aren't that great.Quote

I'm digging the Shakes for sure here in Phoenix town,,,,,and actually get to see them at the Mumford Stopover in Guthrie OK come September, can't wait, the only way to make it a better summer would be to catch our boys in Las Vegas June 7th!
