Rothchild bailed out of the L.A. Woman sessions because he wanted to work with Janis Joplin on what would be the ''Pearl'' album instead.

Not entirely so, most of the doors songs are from Morrison's poetry notebooks written before they were a band. they attempted a few songs on their 1965 demos and during the first album sessions but those tapes were not used for the Strange Days sessions.because both the band and Paul Rothchild wanted to experiment with the studio's recent upgrade from 4 to 8 track plus they were able t

Remove ''Sing This All Together (See What Happens)'' and add ''We Love You'' & ''Dandelion'' and you have a pretty good album imo

Quoteswiss QuotematxilI think it's comparable to Jumping Jack Flash, a surrealist fairy-tail, rather bleak (more like Christian Andersen than the Grimm brothers), basically saying "I'm a freak, I'm weird, I'm a complete mess, but I'm doing alright anyway". That's how I see it too. Reveling, defiant, bemused--and hoping for an equal game partner--in down n

I think the huge ''including the hits'' sticker was Klien's way of getting the customer's attention right away considering the most recent songs at the time were listed first instead of in order. i always wondered about the history of the cover photo i'm guessing it was originally planned to be a cover or part of another album's artwork.

QuoteEddieByword QuoteNasty Habits Just wait until the 25th May when the COMPLETE show gets it's official release as part of the Super Deluxe Edition of Sticky Fingers. I thought JJF and Live with me were unavailable because the BBC soundman forgot to turn the mic on?.....Not so?... It Depends on which mics the soundman forgot. with today's technology they can lift a vocal or guitar f

Chris Robinson is a great frontman but in my opinion he's also the reason the crowes haven't had a big selling album in ages. ever since their 3rd album Amorica he's been trying to convert a rockband that's heavily influenced by the stones, faces, and humble pie and force them to sound like the grateful dead or phish.

that fine is pocket change for them, seem like the press made the fuss and the stones didn't care to pay it because they were more concerned with putting on a great show.

reading these old posts made me put on my headphones and play the virgin cd.the band seems to be shedding the snakeskin that was the 60's and embracing a new era.the main faults with the albums i find are the track order and the muddy sound. it's still a great album but lacks the classic keith richards sound. seems to me this is mostly the 2 micks and charlie.
