Ferocious, savage version of "shelter" on that DAC-195! The best one from the whole 75 tour?

I didn't know it was copied on 'real' silvers. i bought it when it was released, on professional looking CD-R's. I think you have a real collector's item here. Imo the European copy looks very c

Thank you for DAC-195 MM! I always found that show to be remarkable... and much better than the much-lauded June 27 gig.

QuoteMathijs Actually, Fingerprint File is said to be inspired by Moroder. Mathijs (speechless... sound of a man trying to gasp for air). But otoh Mick and Keef are so talented they could make that killer of a song out of a meaningless noodling played mindlessly by Moroder.

Hopefully it wasn't taped. I'd bet the band "tolerated" him for 1 or 2 hrs in exchange for a cut on the studio rate (Musicland Studios belonged to Moroder). You know... Mick cares for that aspect of things.

Quotegotdablouse Fast Talking was started at Criteria Studios in Miami BEFORE the Kingston sessions. I can't remember these sessions ever being mentioned anywhere ? Me neither but Nico added an entry in his 1972 page (#720700A). It'd seem logical the band used the quite long gap in the middle of the 72 tour to "do sth", so to speak. I'd venture to say they also us

Nah G.the Cowboy, you'll never grow old! You'll slowly dessicate, like our 3 heroes! Anyway you were lucky to attend a very satisfying performance. I saw them in 94 at the same cattle hanga... I mean venue, and it wasn't as good. Apparently from Dime comments the "udder" Oakland gig will pop up soon. Dime does care for the ailing Japanese bootleg industry. Subar

QuoteMathijs Then the Wembley show...It just doesn't sound very nice in my opinion, it is just not very pleasant to listen to. They play like they are having a fight. Mathijs Fine description of this tour! I remember reading a contemporary interview in which Keith hissed that pitiful Jagger was out of breath after only 3 numbers. I always had the impression he rushed the tempos in

Quotemarko Thank you again but i already have 1st Oakland from JEMS Ithink it's KRW_CO transfert not a JEMS one. And KRW_CO shared a 1st gen of the Karl Lundmark tape. It runs too fast and is inferior to the Master tape shared above (thank you Dime!) Quotemarko is this Millard version same recording? No it's a new/different recording. Very similar in quality to the K.L.tape.

Mike Millard : Karl Lundmark : Imho, for once, the Mike Millard tape is not the best one available : to me the "old" Karl Lundmark tape wins. Ymmv. Enjoy!

QuoteStonedRambler Quoteironbelly 2021, Masher strikes again. This time it is no brickwall, it is a concrete plate. DR=4. Ear-bleeding over-compressed loud mess. They question is - will he be able to top it in 2031 for the 50s anniversary edition? I bet yes. DR1 here we come!

QuoteGazza 1976 - Black & Blue - they barely cut enough songs for an 8-song album. Nothing to suggest there was much left over other than a couple of songs later finished for Tattoo You Plus Glyn Johns who engineered most of the 75 sessions said the music wasn't very good. RE 75 they might be inspired to re-assess the 71(?)-74 material they gave a listen in 75. Like "English

"Because the Stones hadn't toured the US since 1981, the 1989 Steel Wheels tour was a very big deal, which may explain why Mike recorded them six times, four gigs in LA and the two Oaklands"

I share your enthusiasm and Mr Karnbach liked it too! (I wonder if he bought the tape from the engineer and added it to the Vault..). Imho the female backing vocals work nicely but Mick could have added some horns at the very end of the track. But he kept MT's slide part, which is a big plus. Just noticed... at 1.06 the riffing is similar to the main one on "Cellophane Trouse

The Rolling Stones - Los Angeles 14.10.2021_AcidProject 068 Hi Stones fanatics, i have got this tape direct from the taper, he wanted to stay anonymous. It was very good recording, taped from the pit. I did some level correction and new EQ. Also cleanded some clicks cused by loud clapping, with pencil tool. Quotesbetz CamRS, Good points but I think the actual cache of "fully-finished" outtakes is scant despite what KR might claim. I think Keith really means what he says even though he might be caught up in his own "rainbow/unicorn" vision. Take that Dean Goodman interview from 1998 : He mentions a 1985 outtake “What You Gonna Tell Your Boyfriend?” that, according to

QuoteTaylor1 Traveling Man with finished lyrics would be better I still prefer "Windmill". The riffing on TM sounds thin and forgettable to me. WM has this fatglorious (open G?) riffing. This being said I'm somewhat wary of what Mick did with the raw track... And I hope he worked on "Windmill" II that the version with the splendid MT slide parts.

QuotePeterdv truely wondering if this could be an upgrade..anyone? Imo it sounds a lot better than previous versions! Be aware it's a raw/untouched recording so one might find it a bit boomy or lacking in high end. I think it's great. Crank it up! It's warm (bit hissy) and analog!
