Possibly a stupid question:

Once I have converted my files & the output
is a 192 kB/sec-mp3-file...
How do I then gain bit speed?

Or (now I turn myself to the know-how:ers)
may 192 kB be enough...?

Going further with this, aiming to mix it up to over 300 kB/sec,
is that sheer rocket science, or? Do I have to be a Ph.D
in Computer Science to do this?

I loved For Your Precious Love when I heard the Otis Redding version many years ago. And now I got the Stones version from Hot Stuff! Life is good!

Ahh f****** great Gazza , I support ya all the way.
I'm glad you wrote it that way, 'cause I couldn't express it like that.

Gazza

..you go..I hear this all the time..yada..yada..yadda..

Factory pressed silver CD of something that was orginally posted as a free bittorrent by a generous fan somehow gets better by being pressed onto a silver CD - how is this an improvement? Yes..rarely..a better source..but usually the same source as downloaded from the internet.

This rhetoric always appears to me from those most likely trying to make a buck off of freely shared music.

For Your Precious Love, is a revelation.
makes you wonder what else is waiting to be unearthed.

Finally downloaded the torrent, successsfully, last night- many thanks to Gazza and the original source, for these gems.

The Stones' version of For Your Precious Love is easygoing, while Otis Redding's version has a touch of desperation. Redding's version is the best, in my view. But that is no shame for The Stones - their version is also very good, and a totally different song.

Just wanted to add my thanks. In my opinion from listening so far, better than the released record. Gazza you have done the Stones a service by in a certain way, saving the reputation of a much maligned release smiling smiley

I'm just curious, thinking about this... What will Mick have said when he heared that these outtakes have surfaced? I'm sure he knows, people will have told him. Does he find it nice, that things leek, from time to time? Can imagine both, irritation and approval. On one side, it should not have been released, but on the other side: it keeps us fans fresh...
Does he say: can somebody burn me a copy, haven't heard it in a while?

Will he punish us and play a 100% warhorse show on saturday? ;-)

Mick has bought plenty of Stones bootlegs in the past. I have a tape of him doing so in a New York record store in 1975, recorded by the guy behind the counter!

Is this thread breaking the records on visitor numbers??

(I can't even imagine how it would be if instead the "Steel Wheel Outtakes" Gazza had given us "The Complete El Mocambo Soundboard Tapes" for example, LOL!)

Thanks, Gazza!!!

Youre welcome, but all I did was post the info that it was available. The thanks are due to bwaudby who shared the music...(plus charlotte for being such a good host to the tracker, of course..)

Nice guys... thanks. Yes, it is all attention, and as long as people do not spend money on bootlegs INSTEAD of on official releases and tickets, the Stones probably enjoy all the fuss.

But the El Mocambo-tapes are safe and sound, hidden under Mick's bed. Waiting for the right moment to release them. Mick is probably giving them a spin once in a while, thinking MAN I'm a BAD guy... ...and a the best performer in the WORLD... ...now where's that girl... hey little girl, it's f*cking great! Do you wanna hear it? ... first tell me I'm bad, tell me I'm BAD!!!
