Fantastic! Am I dreaming?
Hope this kind soul will post more. Eternally grateful.
Don't know how many days and nights I looked in the Weisbuch and imagined what it must sound like. For more than 20 years I was hoping. Dreams do come true!

Oh, please please please stop this mp3 slaughter!!!!!!!!!!

Gary developed the f...ing best outtakes for decades and it's going on again - they will spread as mp3 all over the world - it's a crime!!!

Please keep the stuff lossless!!!

It's no problem I think to post a sample in mp3 format but complete recordings should be kept as they are. You might say it's an opinion, but it's unfair to all the people picking up recordings out there which will be most probably lossy after a time, cause the mp3 virus is spreading quickly (newsgroups, ebay....)

Truth is stranger than fiction

stoned greetings

Well Gazza is surely a good guy, but the
credits for converting the mc and uploading the flac files should go a RO member called bwaudby

Hi All.
I just tried to create my first torrent. It is from a cassette labeled "Rolling Stones Monitor Mixes May & June 89".
I converted the tape to wave files, and then converted them to flac for the torrent. Hopefully I have done it correctly. If not, please let me know.<<

It's just spreading the music mate. If people like it that much they'll get the good recordings anyway...

(Gaz is fine with it I hope???)

G. the Cock I'm with you on this one.
And to Kentfletch : Gangsters Maul was recorded during Steel Wheels.
If you are not certain on something than don't post it.

Don't want to cause any problems here, I just made some mp3s so Kent has the songs quickly...

Is is not such a big deal Lorenz, it is just that the original has the best sound, and the trimmed mp3 version is slightly inferior in sound.
Great day to be Stones fan!

A good practice is to at least upload as much as you downloaded.
If you use Azureus, you´ll see your shareratio.

well..the common netiquette is to leave it on so that you upload as much as you downloaded (the torrent is 509.80mb)

Its not as if its written in stone, but unfortunately too many people who use a tracker (like ours) which doesnt have an enforced share ratio tend to download what they want and then cut and run. Sometimes because they're inexperienced in downloading etiquette and dont know any better - but sometimes through lack of courtesy for other users.

I´m happy for you , Erik, you will find so many torrents to download. RocksOff is of course nothing but excellent as they only have Stonestorrents. But you should also try to register at Dimeadozen, as they have loads of Stones there too.

mickijaggeroo, one thing I wonder about, is there a qualityloss, compared to CD? That's one of the reasons I haven't done so before.
I know it's better than MP3 ofcourse, but still....
