I would love to see another performance of 'Commit a Crime' with Mick and Jeff with his band. Hope it happens. They know the song now,without much rehearsal.

I think Mick feels orgasmic just manipulating all these musicians,SNL people and us, fans. I hope he'll be able to perform after all the foreplay

well, no one likes Mick's moves more than me, but a possible issue with Keith's
health has been raised by Stonesdoug and this issue not been put to rest yet.
Not confirmed either thank God.

the unconfirmed jeff beck news...

mick and keith could be sequesterd working hard, with their staffs, and nobody is
in the position to deny the health rumor because it hasnt reached them

and the real SNL news is simply embargoed until facebook 10 million...

Good grief, I hope you're right about this.

And since I don't do FB, what's the deal with the 10 million point? I'm assuming that *something* will happen re the Stones when/if their FB page reaches 10 million followers? I suppose that would be a barometer of how well tickets would sell for a tour.

That said, signing onto FB is free while purchasing tickets is a whole different matter completely.

an arbitrary media-grabbing number. but (assuming all is well with keith)
it serves as a new-fangled kind of countdown clock. the number was set up
by the Stones' facebook people, who have promised special news once the
number is hit. if it wasnt for the keith health rumor, it would be kind of fun.

the most positive thing remains that the blood-lust media has not
reported the "jeff beck" news, no less what it might mean.

Incidentally, although the counter is only crawling, all it would take is ONE
major media to pick up the 10 million angle and publish it and it would
happen in MINUTES. though maybe they're embargoed from printing that too.
to keep the suspense going for a while.

2) i wish doug had been more specific about the health angle, but i'll take it

3) which could very well mean events break this way: first the embargo is
lifted on the "10 million" story and we get a bunch of news about that.
the counter starts whizzing. bing bing bing bing it hits 10 million.
after an indefensible delay of many minutes, which drives us crazy,
we get the news we want: The Stones on SNL too!

I watched SNL last night. During one of the first commercial breaks, the visual ad listed and the announcer explicitly stated "arcade fire, foo fighters, jeff beck". I don't know how people can continue to pretend it's vague or unconfirmed.

I really hope the SNL writers bring their A+game for next weeks show... heck, Mick might want to bring/hire some of his own BIG TIME comedy writers, because SNL can really suck sometimes (like last night sucked) becasue if Mick's show bombs it will make for bad headlines (e.g. [www.mtv.com]) . So lets hope they hit it out of the park, put on a really funny, well written show and The Rolling Stones play a couple of great songs... is that asking too much?
