Back to the original point of this thread. Cecil Beaton the former English "society photographer" was in N Africa at the same time as the 1967 trip by Mick and friends. In his diaries he refers to their "lack of bottoms", no hips at all in fact. Cecil was gay and much admired by the Royal family.

Actually, the main point of this thread was to ask why journalists never ask the question....are they all pre scripted or what? The best interviews these days are those on Childrens Telly programmes - the celebrity pops in to promote their latest product- and viewers phone in with 20 questions.
