Great Topic. For me without Wyman the Stones are not at their best. He and Charlie created amazing grooves. With Darryl they sound like a funk wanting to sound like the Stones - sometimes the lock it though. The best Stones sound live is from the 1978 tour. Raw and groovin'... We are talking about sound not playing per se. I wished they sound in 73' they way they did in 78

It seems obvious the stones felt sorry for Taylor after the 12' london gig and had him fly over to brooklyn for the US gigs. I remember seeing a video of Taylor playing a gig days after the london gig seeming not sure if he was going to be a part of the tour or not.
