it's been years and years that lots of people know he is a cheater.
Unfortunately, le Tour de France organisation has been abettor of this mess for the money and for the show.
It is obvious that he has been protected.

It's getting complicated for Armstrong.
There are some many consecuences if his found guilty.
From being stripped from his tour titles, to returning
millions he earned from bonuses from sponsors that came
subjected to winning the tour. Oh, and his súper human reputation.

Also some not very nice trades of his personality are gonna come out
in court.

But hell, maybe he can beat the legal investigations 7 times in a row.

He's either very brave (or 100% stupid) for taking testosterone EPO and growth hormone after being treated for cancer.
"NO FUTURE" that was his motto in these drugged years? >grinning smiley<

Anyway his life and career are really going down the toilet : he used to be a great champion and a future gov of Texas. Then the political ambition went away now it's his seven cups.
Next? Destitute and homeless?

And I still can't forgive for barfing on the French on U.S. TV lying that it was some "Jean-François" who put drugs in his clean urine samples.

Vae victis d!ck we won't regret you! eye rolling smiley

Lance has taken drugs just like all the others. He shouldn't go on lying about it. We know every cyclist has done drugs and still does. It's an integral part of the sport. Like in athletics. They all use it. It would be better to allow it and to regulate it.

Hello,

I wonder if Big George will spill the beans now that his cycling career is all but done? How I wish Johan B. would just tell the flippin' truth about the whole thing...yeah, dream on Si...

I don't believe that every team and/or pro are juicing either: Garmin and Sky are two clean outfits for sure. I'll stake hard cash on that. If you wanna see first hand how the process goes, you could do a lot worse than read Dave Millar's account of his fall from grace:
"Racing Through The Dark". A fine book.

Cheers,

Simon.

some products (or "drugs") are allowed by the Cyclist federations and some others are not.
Some respect the rules and some others don't.
Richard Virenque and his team Festina were excluded from the Tour de France in 1998 for using unauthorized products. I found it fair. He finaly recognized the facts in 2000.

So, let's apply the rule for all cheaters and not only some of them.

Alberto Contador was recently stripped from his tour title for a very
small trace of clenbuterol. There where no witnesses, no one spilled
the beans, but he was still banned and stripped. His case was not as clear
or evident as Virenque, Ulrich, Pantani, etc...
Now, Armstrong has more than 10 people saying they saw him dopped and intimidated
to follow a code of silence. He also needed a strong team, so other riders where pushed to dope and play by his and Johan Bruyneel's rules, who by the way, was very good at cheating and even not being very ethic on the bike.

The Tour is around the corner. The drama goes on.

What's strange is that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency suddenly decided to go down on him. Previously the ADA was more of a laughing stock than a respected entity : they were the three monkeys : see nothing hear nothing test nobody grinning smiley

Remember how they prevented Victor Balco from spilling the beans...

Well, he took certain stuff when that certain stuff was not illegal. He took certain stuff when that stuff was unable to detect despite being illegal. He took stuff when it was possible to take stuff and still have some blood content values just a tiny bit underneath the "technical regulations". Everybody in professional cycling did that. Who knows what it was he took which seriously threatened his life in the mid-90s?
He is a cheat but his passion for winning is real, no matter what it takes.

I thank him for motivating this former couch potato (me) to actually get onto the bike and ride for fun a lot more than I used to in the mid-90s. I have been more healthy ever since - and it feels great, too. And I guess he has motivated a lot of other people to do the same.

For every cheater in the sport, there where clean riders being robbed
of their greatness.

No sport is fair anyway. It's about who has the most money and the best facilities (in the broad sense of the word).

I guess that's what made people like Roberto Duran so good.

You can't hide things for ever. At a certain time things will pop up.
Maybe Armstrong has been to arrogant towards somebody in USADA.
Maybe his results in Triathlon were "too good to be true" - he should have stopped while everything was OK and not have pushed his luck.
Probably Armstrong should have kept a more quite life, enjoyed his past cycling victories and stepped out of public life - then things would soon have been forgotten and he would have kept his victories - like Miguel Indurain.

Just ask whoever you want who follow the Tour de France since years,
none of them will answer that Armstrong ( seven-time Tour de France winner )
is the ultimate champion since the Tour de France exist ,
that means a lot !!!

He is not a likeable man, but surving cancer and winning the tour several times is fantastic. My impression is that everybody who does the tour is doped.Viewers who expect a new record every year should not complain about this.

If all athletes or cyclists where dopping, cheating would be "fair". The problem
is that there are clean athletes in every sport following the rules who should
not be robbed of their moment and opportunities.

To say every ciclyst dopes makes it look less wrong, but is not true.

At least all winners, Merckx, Indurain, even that nice and shy Zoetemelk.
