Hi guys, i'm new on the forum and i am a massive die hard fan since i was ten. I did some researches about tv appearances and i made a video with every still available from wiped tv appearances on UK and US televisions.
I've matched the stills with date and songs performed.

Interesting. Why would promofilms be wiped and not exist? Weren't they filmed by a separate entity and only loaned to television for airing? Another question would be the value of these missing appearances. How many of them were actual performances and not just lip syncs of recordings, or live vocal only?

A 'semi-missing' TV appearance is from the 15 November 1965 program Hullabaloo on NBC. Although a low quality black and white kinescope exists (on DVD) of She Said Yeah, and Get Off of My Cloud (lip-synced), the actual broadcast was in full color.

Well i can't said that, but i know the entire hullaballo performance was released in VHS in 1998 in B&W. The Promofilms for "Not Fade Away", "19th Nervous Breakdown", "If You Need Me", "Get Off Of My Cloud" and "Honky Tonk Women" were recorded exclusively for Top Of The Pops, and it seems that they were all directed by Peter Whitehead. Only "Get Off Of My Cloud" survived. About the Twickenham Promos, ""Satisfaction", "Mercy, Mercy" and "Good Times" was shown on US Shindig!."Satisfaction" was also shown on Top Of The Pops along with "The Spider And The Fly" and "Cry To Me" on September 23, 1965. "Hitch Hike", "That's How Strong My Love Is" and "I've Been Loving You Too Long" seems to have been lost, just like 1967's "She's a Rainbow" promo. About the live performances and lip syncs, all Thank Your Lucky Stars are lip sync. All Ready Steady Go! until December, 1964 are lip sync. 1965 are live performances. 1966 are live vocals under a prepared backing track. All Top Of The Pops until 1966 are lip sync. From 1967 onwards are live vocals under a prepared backing track.

Rodaxe, where is the sound @ 6:30 "I'm Movin on" from? I mean on what disc?

It's from "The Joe Loss Pop Show" broadcast on BBC Radio on April 10, 1964. It's available in many bootlegs, just google it. I think this version it's way better than the December's Children's version, mick's voice is louder and full of energy.

It's great to hear. I surely have it buried in the boots somewhere.
But IMO the Decembers version is one of the best things the Stones have ever put out.

Hey Rodaxe, keep the good work. I never heard of the She's A Rainbow promo. It's hard to believe that a promo could be lost. Surely it would have been filmed by Peter Whitehead. Anyone know anything about this.

The films I'd most like to see are the two Top of The Pops performances in 71 -Wild Horses and Bitch, I believe, and the 1968 NME Poll Winners Concert.

Here's a list of their Top of The Pops appearances.

The "She's A Rainbow" Promo was directed by Peter Clifton the same director of the film "Popcorn - an audiovisual thing" which features "2000 Light Years From Home" promo and an interview made the same day the two promos was shot.
Last Year, the rolling stones official twitter were asking for the "she's a rainbow" promo, which means they don't have it in their archive.

I've always wished to see that NME pollwinner show.In early Stones books it's always said it was screened in the UK. At least parts of it.I wonder did anyone see it or - is the concert still in TV vaults?
