Does that mean:
2012, Ben Waters instead of Chuck Leavell?

It doesn't mean anything. Nor does Wyman being there and Darryl Jones not.
Leavell and Jones may simply have been unavailable, as they live in the US and Wyman and Waters live in England.
Much too early to assume anything re:personnel for a 2012 tour. It was the band getting together to reacquaint themselves musically. Thats all.

what new album?

If what I heard was correct, they played a number of old blues songs. I don't think it was three days of "Extreme Western Grip." For their sake, I hope not.
While the immediacy of the internet has rendered a number of folks here unable to believe something like this could happen without a Youtube video for proof, it still did occur - but it was an informal event. It might have been to prove something to themselves (or at least Mick ). While the media seems quite sure a tour is on this year, there is no reason to think things have advanced. That is just speculation. Mick may have looked in on what they sounded like on Day Three and decided a tour wasn't worth the bother. We don't know anything about their plans yet. Bill Wyman and Ben Waters' participation is not proof that Mr. Jones and Mr. Leavell are unemployed (at least not any more than they've been since August 2007 ). Bill jamming with Mick, Ronnie, and Charlie in the past did not signal his return, so having Keith there isn't somehow any more significant than say Harrington House in 2000. There's no reason to think that this was anything other than old bandmembers having a bit of fun. Ben's participation is because of his being a bandmate of Charlie's at present and the respect he earned with the BOOGIE FOR STU CD and shows. Good for him, he's a great player but it doesn't mean he's in for a tour any more than Chris Jagger's participation in the aforementioned Harrington House gig landed him a spot onstage in 2002. It doesn't work that way and never has. Right now, all we have is the fact that Keith has actually written songs (seemingly for the first time in ages) and hasn't determined what to do with them. As has been the case for a very long time, the power rests with Mick. If he wants to tour, he can decide to do so and the rest of the band is willing. If he wants to record new material, it could come out with another greatest hits collection or with a collection of more recent outtakes of Don Was-era material. Both possibilities have been discussed as has been noted here before. That's the State of the Union in January 2012 as far as anyone outside (and maybe inside ) the Stones inner circle knows.

Simple question.
I don't think they did or I'd hear about it by now.
Thank you Doxa for summarizing a 28 page thread in one sentence.Quote

Meanwhile I'll correct my factlist of Jan. 4; thanks to those who corrected.
* On November 9, Keith announced a studio jam in London with Ronnie and Charlie. He kept open the options about any other past or present members joining, even Mick Jagger.
* Bill Wyman commented he hadn't been invited yet.
* Some jamming actually did take place from December 6-8, in a Chelsea studio (probably old blues, no new material).
* Bill Wyman was there as was Ben Waters.
* Mick Jagger attended for some time.
Again, correct me if I'm wrong or add something to the list in case I've forgotten anything non-speculative or non-imaginary.
Thanks.

Why "even Mick Jagger"?
