Meanwhile I'll correct my factlist of Jan. 4; thanks to those who corrected.
* On November 9, Keith announced a studio jam in London with Ronnie and Charlie. He kept open the options about any other past or present members joining, even Mick Jagger.
* Bill Wyman commented he hadn't been invited yet.
* Some jamming actually did take place from December 6-8, in a Chelsea studio (probably old blues, no new material).
* Bill Wyman was there as was Ben Waters.
* Mick Jagger attended for some time.
Again, correct me if I'm wrong or add something to the list in case I've forgotten anything non-speculative or non-imaginary.
Thanks.

Why "even Mick Jagger"?
Let's not speak of the "tiny todger" incident...

I skimmed through this thread and as a relative "newbie/outsider," I found it really interesting with good ideas and comments. Not at all painful as I'd been warned!
I'm glad to see they got together and that Jagger actually showed up. I don't really care if Wyman did or not, but I guess it's nice for sentimental reasons. I noticed somewhere here it was noted that Darryl was no longer retained...
The idea of Rick Rubin producing is awesome. He'd come at it with the idea of making a GREAT Rolling Stones record, as it should exist in his mind. and it'd be great.
Thanks to all

(Hey! A report on the jam session from somebody who was actually there! Timely!)
ROLL UP FOR THE STONES COMEBACK!

TO many they are the greatest rock ’n’ roll band ever. And legions of those fans
have never even seen the Rolling Stones perform live on stage.
But their chance could come this summer. In the biggest hint yet that the
Stones, who have a combined age of 270, are set to tour again, Ronnie Wood
reveals they have been jamming together.
In a candid interview in the Radio Times, the 64-year-old guitarist explained
they got together just before Christmas.
“It was great, keeping our chops together, that’s what we love,” he said. “We’re
all happy – we were happy before Christmas. It’s getting better each time.”
When pressed if the band might consider its first world tour since A Bigger Bang
finished in 2007, grossing $500million, he said: “Be lovely, wouldn’t it?
“That’s what we’re on the verge of. I dunno what the hell is gonna happen yet
but we all feel we owe it to ourselves and to the people to do something.
“Well, they’re still in the talking mode. And I don’t know, each week brings a
new development. It was great, keeping our chops together, that’s what we love"
“Basically, get the boys feeling comfortable with each other, ’cause we’re all
ready to go individually. It’s just a matter of tying up loose ends and coming
together as a unit.”

Good for Ronnie. Glad to see he is adding to the general "murkiness". Keith must be proud.
