There 707 post and millions of words in this thread.

I find hard to follow it, especially because most of comments are wishful thinking, numerology, pranks and tons of "what if"

No harm done, but I wished to have just the real facts. What has happened, or is happening?

Bullet points, please

As you requested:

[*] Keith, Ronnie, Charlie, and Bill Wyman jammed with one other musician in Soho two weeks ago
[*] Mick Taylor did not attend
[*] Mick Jagger was present at the tail end of the session
[*] These were not recording sessions
[*] There are no official plans for 2012 yet
[*] There will be or has been another business meeting to work out plans for the New Year
Greta, now we can close this thread and just wait patiently until something else happens right?

The session took place from December 6th

it can't just be coincidental that the session started on the 42nd anniversary of altamont. i think the stones finally decided to right that wrong and they probably made a very special altamont-oriented recording, whose proceeds will go to the hell's angels and others who were negatively impacted on that infamous night.

I doubt 42 years later Mick, Keith or Charlie remembers the date Altamont took place. Even in '69 Mick had to be reminded of the date as seen here at 3:58.

then it can't just be coincidental that neither mick nor charlie nor keith remembers the altamont date.

One would doubt they keep track of dates in their own tour history. unless they were reminded by an employee of the dates.

I'm sure they have to be told what city they're in on any given night.

If one concludes three days of jamming with his old bandmates means Bill Wyman is touring with the Stones next year, then one could use the same faulty logic to conclude that if Ben Waters attended a jam session with his bandmate Charlie Watts, it must mean he's replacing Chuck Leavell for the next Stones tour. I suppose it is a step above conspiracy theories that prove Paul is dead.

The request was for bullet points. You're slipping, StonesTod. Besides, trying to show up Gazza would be pointless. The guy plays classical piano, French horn, harpsichord, he arranges string sections, etc. I can't compete with that kind of talent.

Same as the rest of the UK and Ireland, I'd guess. Mostly imported stuff as well as local beers.

Guinness obviously is very popular, but its not beer, of course.

anyway..

I don't know the geography of the area all that well, but is Derry cross the Mersey?

I have heard that...though the Dingle was wild and beautiful, and I've always wanted to see where "Ryan's Daughter" was filmed. I need to get to Liverpool and Northern Ireland next UK trip.

Yeah, ha, well, arranging takes another kind of talent, yes?

So, on these:
[*] There are no official plans for 2012 yet.
[*] There will be or has been another business meeting to work out plans for the New Year.

Are 2012 and 2013 events likely in the works now?
Did the business meeting occur yet or is it still to come?

I'm confused too. Have we now heard from the same unofficial source that there
are both "definite unofficial plans" and "no official plans"?

There was a time, a month or so ago, when I was finding it impossible to
visualize what these 50th shows might be like, given all the turmoil, internal and
external. But when those in the know assured me that 50th shows were a "done
deal" I relaxed and tried to get into a Taylor Wyman kind of mood, cooperative
soul that I am.

But are the wired ones amongst us now re-hedging? Must I again tax my
ridiculoulsy overtaxed brain to visualize the un-visualizeable? Or can I still
relax knowing that 50th shows are indeed on their way for sure barring illness
or death?

i am glad to know that,
so the news dated nov. 23rd was a mistake?

There was a business meeting for Mick, Keith, Charlie, and Ronnie in London in September.

There was a jam session in December.

There has recently been or shortly will be another business meeting.

I am hypothetically the publisher of the Sun UK. I have not heard back from my
informed sources, so I am ready to scream "Print!" into the phone. The headline:

"The Wired Ones at IORR can no longer assure a Stones 50th anniversary tour!"

The clock ticks away mercilessly towards my deadline...

Damn, yellow journalism is fun!

Fcuk it. Print it. Page one. We can always retract it on page 47 tomorrow...

That story was taken from a Rolling Stone quote which just basically read like a rehash of recent quotes from Mick and Keith. As they played together on December 8th, its quite logical that they talked about other things around the same time, I'd have thought!
