Not in any country that he's played so far it isnt. However that will change from tomorrow - plus he has the Roundhouse show tonight which is something of a Sony launch gig (although contrary old goat that he is, he'll probably not premiere ANY new songs in front of the executives)

The pattern for recent years is that while his show tends to have a high amount of recent material (the shows this tour have seen more songs post-1997 on an average night than songs from before that date) he wont play any songs from his new album until it's in the shops. He hasnt played any 'new' songs prior to release date since about 1986.

The rest of the shows on this tour are in Britain and Ireland. If 'Modern Times' is anything to go by, its a fair bet that he could have a #1 album in both countries in a week's time - helped by the fact that he's on tour at the same time. He's also quite aware that his concert audiences are receptive to recent and new material. I'll be amazed - and somewhat disappointed - if he doesnt play some of the new songs over the two nights I'll be seeing him in Dublin next week.

good call - he did this at MSG a few years back in lieu of attending the Concert for George - fab version of the fab four song, too...

text from a mate of mine that the place went nuts when he played 'Something'. Also said it was the best Dylan gig he's seen since 1995.

"If not for you" would have been a good surprise. He played a few chords of "Norvegian wood" the last time he played there.

I'm not surprised at all that Bob does not play the new material yet. It was the same story with Modern Times in 2006. The album appeared in August while Bob was touring the US, but no song was played before the fall tour which started in october.

I did not expect new songs to be played in Europe and I'll be very surprised if Bob decides to do so in the remaining concerts. But people attending the first shows in july will witness lots of live premieres without any doubt!

Now he has NO excuse for playing new songs - Bob's new album has entered the UK charts at #1. His first chart topper since 'New Morning' in 1970.

I ordered it from America, it turned out to be less expensive than getting it from European Amazon....postage included. Bizarre....I can't wait to hear the album; yet I refrain myself from buying the CD in the store or listening to it on the internet....I want it to be an analogue experience

listening to it on vinyl is an analog to the good old daze of rock'n'roll....or something...
