You are most welcome SomeTorontoCailin (if you remember, 'Cailin' is Irish for 'Girl') Irish is indeed a whole other language^ 7 wonders of the World -- with the stones' being the 'Uimhear a h-aon'(Number 1), yes, they are even more wonderous than the hanging Gardens, even more splendiforous than the Grand Canyon^! Have a safe trip home

'Guitar' is just so cool sounding, an example of a classic 'throwaway' - like the stones' 'She's So Cold'. Infectious stuff A wee bit disappointed with 'Planet Earth' as a whole though, it has some sterling songs, but, doesn't hold a candle to the great man's masterpieces, of which there are many! Methinks his last brilliant albums w

Bill had 'Stone Alone', so perhaps Keef's confessional tome could be called: "Stone Atone"? Or: "A Stones' Atone"?^ Nah, methinks the absolute best title IS "Who the F***k is Mick Jagger", brilliant!

Greetings & Salutations to one an' all, Very quick question this evening for those in the know -- I found a great stones interview from 1965(Denmark) on YouTube recently, here is the URL.. -- I'd never seen this one before, hadn't even seen it listed on bootleg lists, and it's great stuff, interview with all 5 stones! Finally, gosh-darnit, Finally, after the knuckle-head decision by the Rolling stones to grant the US release of this set 6 or so weeks before Europe, even though they're touring Europe this summer and it would have been ideal to release it earlier --- well, finally, Europe is getting this 4-DVD extravaganza! The usually somewhat 'helpful' duDes & dudettes at the l

'Steel Wheels' -- a much maligned Rolling stones record, but, it is absolutely saved by 4 of 5 true gems 'Slipping Away' with a touching Keef vocal & sentiment, and the gorgeous 'Almost Hear You Sigh' are startlingly good. Who would've though that 27 years into their career the stones would have written two of their most beautiful & affecting ballads,

"Blondes Have More Fun is the album that is easily the most critically reviled of all of Rod Stewart's albums and is a target of alot his fans" --- Wow, that's quite the damning review^ Rolling Stones Magazine refer to Rod as the greatest wasted musical talent ever. Did Rod indeed lose the plot in the late seventies after a series of truly sterling albums f

Some extremely cool interviews mentioned there! If I can ask LA Forum a Question -- where did you get these two, as they sound brilliant: I like the Some Girls PR, Mick wasnt there and Keith delivered one liners although a couple was pretty nasty (the one about "Brian waiting in the pool" - Charlie left the inteview) & I love that 1978 interview after the Toronto bust in h

I like their stuff up to and including thier best one, "These Days", but, the last 4 albums, including the new "Lost Highways" are bland, middle or the road, and lacking any spark. "Lost Highways" is indeed lost, it redefines mediocrity. Some of the reviews are woeful for this one. Nothing flat out awful on it, it's just so bland, 'tis sonic wallpaper.

VooDooLounge13, you're not in the minority! I should admit, that, yes, I too am a ...(whisper it)...Bon Jovi fan, and have been since 19 and 88, when 'New Joisey' came out. Okay, their last handful of albums have been major let-down's, I'm talking the homogenised, soulless & just MOR snooze-o-rama of 'Crush', 'Bounce' and the utterly lifeless

You either Love them or hate them.. The Quo, after the Rolling stones, are surely Britain's longest running band, and still today, a supreme live act! True, they haven't made a great record in aeons, but, don't be swayed by the oft-repeated story that all of their songs sounds the same. Sure, their 12-bar blues format has worn thin every since the '80's, and when th
