You are right about Bon Jovi, unfortunatly. This band were so great more than 20 years ago and now their last 4 releases are more boring as a sleeping pill.

The album seems to suffer from the Big Bore production of John Shanks, who also did their last album, the one with the smiley on the cover. Shanks's speciality in smoothing off necessary edge is the abundant use of electroacoustic guitar in place of either acoustic strumming (sounds more wooden), or electric riffing (sounds harder/more distorted).
The fact that the album is aimed at the Keith Urban audience (no, you can't call the poppy hat acts country anymore ... for that they sound too Urban), and includes fiddles almost lost in the mix, doesn't help the music at all. Even Jon Bon Jovi's solo album from the late 90s sounds more Bon Jovi than this disc.

Now here's my best wishes to Richie Sambora. May he fully succeed with his rehab.

Come on,people,why do you feel the urge to bash bands that you dislike?You just don't have to listen to anything that you consider crap.I used to listen to Bon Jovi when I was 11,12 years old.Soon after I grew out of it and moved on to beter things but I'd never go as far as to inslut them and call their new album a crap.You can give it a listen and state your opinion on it but no reason to offend anyone.

I like their stuff up to and including thier best one, "These Days", but, the last 4 albums, including the new "Lost Highways" are bland, middle or the road, and lacking any spark.

"Lost Highways" is indeed lost, it redefines mediocrity. Some of the reviews are woeful for this one. Nothing flat out awful on it, it's just so bland, 'tis sonic wallpaper.

I had a video when I was 9, consisting of several "hits" at that time...I did record it because of the "It's Unbelievable" footage by Dylan,
and the video started with a Bon Jovi song, and even at that age it striked me as repulsive and fake - never did rewind that tape completely, didn't want to see that sh*t again.

Yep,the truth is that Bon Jovi isn't exactly what you'd call a good rock and roll band.Thus,it is quite meaningless opening up a tread only to bash a totally unimportant rock band and therefore giving them some relavance.Plus,the crappiness of Bon Jovi has been discussed zillions of times on this forum.
