I found an old article dated 06.06.02 with some very interesting old news. According to an article written by Bård Ose for NRK (public broadcaster in Norway), the Stones were about to release a huge box set of unreleased stuff from the seventies. The basic line is that the band had given Virgin Records a go for a release of a cd box in connection with their 40th anniversary. Virgin has been giv

By the time Stones hit Europe they seemed to have cooled off. They were still "well oiled", but IMO the energy wasn't on top level anymore. The Brussels shows, London and a couple of o

In '86? I think, Keef had Taylor guesting his first solo album on a track called "I could have stood you up, (but I didn't)". Could there be a hidden message to Jagger? Is it just my english, or could the fact that Richards had Taylor guesting on this particular song, say anything about Keef suporting Taylor? It probably doesn't have anything to do about Taylors legal iss

He He, well I thought it was interesting to read about Taylors legal problems aswell as about his guitars. When it comes to the personal life of any stone it's of no interest, at least not to me. I never knew about the legal problems though, and it shure made me think..Anyway thanks for making this new thread.

My favorite years of the band must be from '68 - '78. Ten years of greate rock'n roll, not leaving any of the three "second" guitar players out They made their coolest records within these years, and were the hottest live band.

I've seen a resent picture of Taylor using the SG from the cover of Get Yer Ya Yas Out. Don't remember where, but I think it was one of the bigger Taylor sites.

They actually played the El Mocambo version on the norwegian national station (P3) a few weeks ago, and it smoked! It was a Stones tribute program. Don't know were they got it from though, but the solo Wood played shure was great...

Two really great guitar players! Agree, Taylor must have been inspired. Though they were both original.

A classic Stones song to me isn't necessarily a monster hit. Though Satisfaction is a classic song I would consider Sway one too. The last classics I can think of right now, could i.e. be a song like Theif In The Night. The backing vokals in particular reminds me of songs written in the classic era (Sticky Fingers /Exile) It has that special Stones sound to it, if you know what I mean Many o

Hei Gazza, a few weeks ago I read someting about a new boot wich has never before surfaced, was supposed to be "released" within short time. If I remember right, you said that a recording from St. Louis '72 had been discovered, (even with the Stevie Wonder act included.) Any information on the subject would be much appreciated Best, Håkon
